University of Phoenix Online 1

The University of Phoenix is run by a bunch of schemers!

The enrollment counselors can be compared to used car salesmen. They lie, cheat, and tell you anything you want to hear in order to sell you their overpriced classes. They conveniently omit important information because they don't want you to find out the truth until it is too late. The worst part of it is that they even try to convince you that you don't know anything, either you are dumb or out of your mind.

The academic counselors do not let you know what classes you are taking -less allow you to pick which ones you would like to start with- until the weekend before you start your first class. How the heck would they know what is best for you if they never even discuss the subject!

The financial counselors are just as bad. They don't tell you how much financial aid you are getting, and if you have never gone to college, you think this is the way it works.

After attending only one week online, I withdrew my enrollment. Suffice to say, I was harrassed by phone. I even was insulted and demeaned by a party of three -enrollment, academic, and financial counselor- who ganged up against me when I questioned their intentions.

To finalized my embarrasement for not checking them out and being so naive, I received a letter requesting payment for what it should have been a FREE TRIAL or GRACE PERIOD, whatever it's called by any "real" University, to see if the online classroom was a good fit for me.

PLEASE, STAY AWAY FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF PHOENIX; THEY ARE A BUNCH OF SCHEMERS.
THEY ARE ONLY INTERESTED IN MAKING A FAST BUCK, NO MATTER HOW THEY DO IT.

This was not an online service you were shopping for, but an accredited education, right? In this context, the "free trial" period you described sounds rather odd. I completed my advanced degree at UOP and rather enjoyed it. Yet, I never heard of a free or grace period offer you speak of. This is just one of several hints in your post that you might have been a bit rush in your judgment. Are you sure it was not about you or, perhaps, one case of rather atypical behavior of the university's staff member? I suggest that you take more time to evaluate your next school whatever it might be. Good luck!

Sounds like zhuchok could possibly be an employee of UOP!

I agree that the UOP undergraduate program is one to stay away from. Can not comment on the advanced degree program, but if this program uses the same Academic team as the undergrad program that I had a bad experience with, then best of luck as you may need it!
