Farmville

reviewed by cyclee

Building your farm by planting vegetables, trees, and add farm animals in the mix to earn profits which then can be used for buying more seeds, buying more animals, and building structures.

Farmville 2

I decided to add this application to my Facebook so I could have the first-hand experience on one of the most spanned Facebook games and see if it really deserves its reputation. Lena this one is for you.

It sucks.

I have to state that before I added this application, I have also played other farm sim games on facebook. This one isn't any better by comparison. In fact, I was surprised how poorly designed the graphic is. When I added the application, I sent out the invitations to all of my facebook friends who also have added this application. There were like 30 of those at least on the list. I then received about 10 within the next hour who accepted my invitation to be my farm neighbors, and before the end of the day I had 20. Amazed, I went to my friends' farms and I saw clutters and clutters of crops, farm animals, and buildings. They were layed out in the most distasteful fashions. Just like any other farm sim game, I plowed, planted, saved, and waited. A day later, I went in and harvested then plowed and planted.. 2nd day I went in, repeat the same procedure. At some point of time, I suppose I can spend some big money on sophisticated farming vehicles and buildings that are smaller than my cows (what's with the graphics of this game?) and call that a proud achievement. In the mean time I have trouble feeling proud of anything after being involved in this.

hah...fantastic review, cyclee :)

This game sounds more like work (with an ugly reward for all your trouble) than fun.

this is the first computer game my mum ever played (I guess facebook is one way to introduce people to gaming!)... she eventually gave up on it though as it was too much hard work (so she went on to playing a game called bouncing balls instead)

bouncing balls doesn't sound like a very hard game.

@magellan it looks like it's a similar principle to Zuma
