Farmville

reviewed by Automatt

Building your farm by planting vegetables, trees, and add farm animals in the mix to earn profits which then can be used for buying more seeds, buying more animals, and building structures.

Farmville 5

Leave it to Zynga to make a game where you're essentially watching plants grow into a compelling social experience. By combining creating a virtual farm with two kinds of currency, experience points and levels, unlocking achievements, and interacting with friends, Zynga has built a casual social game that is both non-violent, pastoral, and strangely compelling. It's quite a distance from the vampire, pirate, dungeon hack, and mob war games that enjoy perennial popularity.

The problem I found with Farmville is that it isn't very challenging. Have you tried Restaurant City? I think you might like that one for a more grown-up flavor.

I agree with you -- Farmville essentially becomes mindless clicking after the first few levels. I've been meaning to check out Cafe World and Roller Coaster Kingdom, but hey, I've got a job to do here.
