Bank of America 1

No Stars from me. I have banked with them on a credit basis having a line of credit secured years ago through MBNA (I actually like working with MBNA) that had a generous credit line and a fixed interest at 6.99%. This LOC transferred to BofA some time ago and at first nothing changed (probably because I never needed the LOC) but the first time I attempted to use it they reduced the available credit to $200.00 above the current balance and followed that up with a letter stating that the fixed interest rate is converting to a variable. I immediately closed the account and as soon as the housing market recovers I will be moving my 1st mortgage away from them along with sharing this story with everyone I know along with posting on twitter, facebook and any other site I can find to tell the truth about this sorry bank. I am ashamed they use the name America in their name. BOTTOM LINE DONT BANK WITH THEM!!!!

They did the same thing to me. They recently changed my fixed rate loc to a variable rate and when I called them to complain, they told me the "fine print" says they can if they have a business purpose. What business purpose allows them to change the rate of a customer who has NEVER made a late payment and always paid over the minimum? They could not answer that.
They are greedy and stupidly going after their good customers to cover their bad decisions and mismanagement. I can't imagine they will stay in business too much longer with this business plan!
