Lucky Strike 5

I am puzzled as why people keep saying the filtered Lucky Strikes aren't available in the US. I see a couple of empty packs of LS Filtered per week around my campus. Perhaps they have been brought back recently (who knows).
But, goodness to mary, I love Lucky Strikes (unfiltered, please and thank you). I've been smoking for 3 years or so, working my way from Marlboro Lights, stopping briefly at American Spirit Black (the perique blend), and finally settling on American Spirit Regulars, up until the beginning of last summer, when a co-worker shared a Lucky Strike with me as we set up a couple rock climbs. Hot Damn, what a cigarette; I smoked the bleedin' thing down past the little logo. Unfortunately, $9 a pack was a little steep for me at the time, so I went through maybe 3 or 4 packs and had to resort to rolling (first Midnight Special, ugh, to Bugler, eh, to American Spirit Perique blend, delicious). I wish Lucky Strike packaged rolling tobacco, because as much as I love prerolled cigarettes, hand rolled is much cheaper, and undoubtedly more involved and "rugged". NOTHING, and I mean nothing, comes close to the toasty, nutty flavor of LS Unfiltered. AS Perique rolling tobacco is close in some ways; rich flavor, nice balanced smoke density, but, honestly, Lucky Strike Means Fine Tobacco.

Dude, Lucky Strike Filters aren't available in the US since 2006, maybe you saw packs bought from export.
