Rush Limbaugh getting axed from a group trying to buy an NFL team was bigger than Rush Limbaugh.

The conservative radio provocateur said it himself.

Rush Limbaugh Dropped from Bid to Buy St. Louis Rams 5

A 5 because I'm not a football fan and the NFL sided with some of the rottenest cats who haven't
actually been convicted of murder-Al Sharpton-who is very lucky-called this a moral victory for all
Americans.Sharpton is also THE ONLY reason the Lions have won like 3 of their last 500 games. He
and I think the late ambulance chaser Johnnie Cochran claimed the Lions refused to interview a black coach(or related to that);the Lions ended up being fined for a few hundred large....then they hire Matt Millen as GM.Nobody aside from the usual race hustlers seems to remember anything other than the quote about black quarterbacks...where's Tawana Brawley when we need her?

As far as I'm concerned, its a business deal that went south. And the NFL owners, who are far from princes themselves, have the right to run their business as they choose. Limbaugh is not the first guy to have been dropped from an ownership bid that went south, and he won't be the last. Making more of it than that is reaching too far.

Sure,it won't be the last time..I'm closer to being a "fan" than an owner-and what these guys tend to do is in the interest of green power-first.That said,I think the only reason this happened is that Limbaugh is white,Conservative,Christian and succesful-and in that sense, this really is out of the Protocals of the Elders of Sharpton.

You forgot the part about his well-publicized bad blood with NFL stars...

I doubt it was the "only" reason. Every time a white conservative successful christian (and that describes almost every NFL owner) gets dropped from a bid, it isn't because Al Sharpton says so. And hundreds of such have been. Lets not make more of this than there is. Although Rush seems to be revelling in it.

I don't follow football-so in that sense it's not big.But it is big because
...well,what other reasons?Beyond that,he's just part of a group,,now much can he invest without being objectionable?By the way,I don't generally listen to Rush Limbaugh.I do read Larry Elder, who wrote an excellent column recently(I think it's on Jewish World Review...'Bum Rush'.
