My father always called New Year's Eve, "Amateur Night." Now as an adult, I really understand what he means. All the non-drinkers go out drinking thinking they can handle it then try to drive home. I never go out for it, preferring to stay home with my wife and maybe some friends or family. Too old for stupid risks.
