I think I'm addicted to garlic. I love it in most foods, from traditionally garlicky ones, like spaghetti and stir-fries, to things like popcorn and salad dressings. Garlic adds a depth and warmth to food that is impossible to achieve with anything else (although onions come close in some respects). Some people insist on using fresh garlic only, but I think garlic powder performs better in some dishes (guacamole is one example). If had to choose one spice to use beyond salt and pepper, it would definitely be garlic.
