Acropolis / Parthenon

The Acropolois is a rocky hill rising over Athens, Greece. The Acropolis is home to some of the world's most ancient structures, including the Parthenon. The Parthenon was built between 447 and 436 BC as a monument to Athena Parthenos, the patron goddess of Athens.

Athens is a hectic, dirty city, but the Acropolis is certainly one of the wonders of the ancient world. It makes going to Athens worth it, considering the fact that it would be another overcrowded, polluted city in Europe. Greece is a beautiful country outside of Athens.
