I was waiting for this to come out of the 80s and make itself big again. I haven't seen the Broadway revival yet, but the original cast is absolutely spotless- Bernadette Peters (greatest actress ever), Joanna Gleason, Kim Crosby, Chip Zien. There's something so incredibly mature, so fun, so well-done about "Into the Woods", something you wouldn't usually expect from a musical about fairytales (but this is Sondheim we're talking about) It it's full of good messages, intensity, intelligence, and humor. Easily the best musical of all time.
