Tracy was the first of the Chris Evert "clones", although she was not as sound technically in her stroke production. Besides Navratilova and Graf, Tracy remaians the only woman with a winning lead over Evert in head to head clashes. The lead was built in the late '70's but at the US open in 1980, Evert won easily 4-6, 6-1, 6-1 and Tracy never beat Evert again. When Tracy attempted a comeback from injury in 1984, Evert creamed her 6-0, 6-0 and sent Tracy back into retirement. Overall, a good player, not a great one.
