I used this after major surgery and admit that it works very well as a pain reliever. But do not take it any longer than you have to. Not only can it be addictive but, like most strong pain killers, it slows down your system which can cause lead to hideous problems with your bowels. That may seem like something to giggle about, but it won't if you ever have to deal with it. When you hear the words, "use only as directed", do yourself a favor and pay close attention.
