Music Industry Workshop

Music Industry Workshop 5

I came across this program (honestly, this may be Chicago's best kept secret) during what I like to call my "quarter life crisis." Frustrated with my lack of motivation and knowledge, I was beyond eager to start learning again (obviously, learning here equates to the music business, deejaying, recording, mixing, etc).

And what a find! I truly cannot express how grateful I am for coming across Music Industry Workshop. For me, it accomplished everything I wanted it to. I started to find that spark (corny, I know) in me that I hadn't come across in far too long. It encouraged me to start thinking in new ways, introduced and enlightened me on so many new concepts, and had me wanting to sign up for more courses as soon as they were finished

The programs schedule is incredibly easy to navigate into your routine. I work a demanding 9-5 and was able to partake in two classes (the Music Business and DJ Mixology) without any detrimental effect to my work or social life.

The instructors (in my case, Colleen Spapperi, Dan Hetzel, and Brian Boncher) were more than qualified and a joy to meet with every week. Most importantly, there was no question that they were all readily available to provide extra assistance and guidance if you were in need. Additionally, the guest speakers every week made sure you were getting a well-rounded, all encompassing experience with real people with real jobs in the real industry.

If you've come across this program: Go for it. You won't regret it.
