Founded as the St. Louis Browns in 1892, the franchise changed its name to the Perfectos for the 1899 season and then to the Cardinals in 1900. The Cardinals have won nine World Series championships, most recently in 1982. An NL Central team, the Cardinals play their home games at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, MO. Cardinals in the National Baseball Hall of Fame include Rogers Hornsby, Stan Musial, Bob Gibson, and Lou Brock.
