The worst ever !!!

My boyfriend have been insured with progressive for over 10 yrs (auto) five years ago he bought a house and his home insurance is also through progressive. He had perfect driving record never an accident or even any kind of ticket. Always paid on time never a late payment. With that kind of business and commitment with progressive he was treated with the worst customer services when he was involved in an accident that clearly wasn't his fault.

On that day, we were at the market as he was pulling out of his parking space , another car tried to back into the spot and hit my boyfriend car in the rear. This was ours first accident so we both didn't really know what to do. I called progressive told them this was ours first time so please tell me what we should get/do. The person told me to get down the other person insurance, name, number, which i did, she then file our claimed and told us someone will call us and arrange and estimate.

After the accident we went and get an estimate at our car at our normal car service the totally came out to be $800. Also during this time the other car insurance call and ask us what have happen, the first question the claim person asked was IS ANYONE HURT, then he proceed to asked about the accident.

As for Progressive I still remember till this day she asked us "WHY DIDN"T YOU MOVE" ???? How the heck do you MOVE from an accident, how am I supposed to answer this question, first of all it was not ours fault, this is what we get for being a commitment customer for all these years so they can protect the other person WTH ????

Finally, our claim money from the other company came to a total of $600 two hundred less than the estimate. However, they only agree to give us $300 because we didn't have a witness. This was stupid in my part, but when you're in an accident you can think clearly. That is why i told the claim person that this was my first time please tell me what to do. She never told me to get a witness. I called progressive hoping they can help us, they told us there was nothing they can do and it was ours fault for not getting a witness, they didn't investigate, they did nothing so far except for criticizing us. We end up going back to the market , lucky they have a security camera and everything was recorded. We send that tape to the other company and got our $600.

Overall, Progressive did nothing for us , we have to do everything to get the money that we were supposed to get in an accident that was not our fault. After 10 years a house and 2 perfect car records my boyfriend and I are done with progressive.

If you're looking place to burned your money and get shitty services, Progressive is the place for you.

FYI. I'm now insured with the other insurance company .... So far they've been great.

I have been with GA Farm Bureau for 13 years. That is just me. My father worked for them so pretty much my entire family has been with them since the 80's. I have always been super happy with them but I had never had a real problem. Some minor car accidents but nothing huge. Then 3 weeks ago I totaled my van. It was then that I found out what Farm Bureau is really made of and how they treat loyal customers. They no longer have adjusters in my county so I have had to deal with a horrible woman from a neighboring one. She offered me 1/2 of what is owed on my car and told me basically that there is nothing I can do about it. That is "just how they estimate claims". I was told that they do not use any book value to estimate value and even though I had multiple dealers tell me she was off by close to 2000.00, there was still no change in the payment. As soon as all of this is handled I am switching my insurance and so is my family. I also plan on telling every single person I encounter how horrid they have treated me throughout this difficult time. I hope the little that they saved on my claim is worth the money that they will be losing just in premiums. I may not work for them but I can do basic math.

I was not told properly that my 6 month old dog needed to see a vet before i got her insurance with Petplan. It Really upset me that nobody told me when i discussed the policy with them. I even called 3 times before i bought the plan asking questions and that never came up. They were too busy trying to get me to sign right now and sign my other dogs. I paid them for Nothing, no peace of mind nothing. Because anything that i would have sent in would have been consider a preexisting condition. Even if i didn't send a claim in for a whole year just because my young dog never seen a vet with me before i got the insurance everything would be considered a preexisting condition. My healthy very young dog never seen a vet with me because she is very healthy and got all her shots and everything from the breeder. I only had her for two months and within that two months i got her the insurance and i didn't even have to use it for another 2 months. Glad i did go and take her to the vet and send in a claim before i paid them for more months. They would have just let me keep paying them every month and just taking my money. For absolutely nothing. They have poorly trained staff that do not tell you everything or its a way for them to make free money. Because that's what they got from me free money. I had no coverage everything would be preexisting. I went to them because of the good ratings they had. cant trust good ratings all the time. I believe you should put whatever you were going to pay them aside each month with the deductible you would have to pay each year. And consider the amount of the bill you would have to pay and You would have your own health fund for your beloved pet. Beside, animal insurance is not like human insurance you have to pay the vet in full each time you go and send the claim in after to get reimbursed. Your paying them each month that's money out of your pocket that you can save for you pet. Because When your dog or pet gets sick and you take them to the vet you have to come up with more money anyway to pay the vet immediately. You could have used that 50 or 100 you sent them last month to pay for that vet visit. And then start saving up again pet insurance is really a waist of your money. To bad it took this for me to really think about it.

I cannot recommend a company named after the father of American education when they are actively engaging in outsourcing American Jobs to India. Seems like a nice way to support our educational institutions in our country, I think Horace Mann would roll over in his grave if he knew an institution with his name was taking Jobs away from American children before they even graduated.

Allstate, in a quest to make large profits for their stockholder, has forgoten what they sell. Service! They are a service company. If their service is poor, they provide nothing of value. The quality of their service continues to fall, while the price they charge continues to rise. If you provide good service, profit will follow. I am one of their insureds. My rates have doubled even though I have had no claims against the policies. As a consumer, its time for me to look for a company that provides what it promises. The Good Hands are picking my pocket!

I have been with progressive for 5 months & I chose them b/c my mom is an insurance agent through a 3rd party & said that they are the best. I changed from USAA & don't get me wrong I loved them, however I filed bankruptcy against them & was no longer allowed to pay my bills online. So I ended up rearending someone 5 months after I bought my car. It was still drivabe & the truck I hit had no damage (it was a really really big truck). I called progressive crying & they were so nice. It took about 1 1/2 hrs for a claims rep to call me back. He got a reservation for me at enterprise & I had a rental car at about 5:30 & my accident was at 2:15. Come to find out the car was totalled which I was not expecting at all, but then again it is a Kia & they do not hold their value. They paid my car off completetly (but I bought my car wholesald). My entire claim was done in less than 1 week. It was the smoothest experience I have ever had in my life. I figured my rates woud go up, but with my new car they actually went down $10 a month. I'm not sure if I had a great experience b/c they didn't have to pay for the other persons vehicle or medical expenses, but so far from what I've seen I would recommend them.

VPI is the worst!! Save your money, they will exclude from policy anything your pet has been to vet for in the past even an ear infection and you won't find this out until you make the first claim and they request the medical records. They rendered me no service at all and refused to refund my policy. Sales reps tell you anything to sell policy and customer service reps are not worth the free phone call.

Well, I have to recant my terrible review of VPI.

It took a while and a lot of phone calls because they did not have all the paperwork and then found it. I did get paid at 90% of the cost operation plus medicine and office visits, so I will have to give VPI a better rating.
