Lard is used when cooking. Using it a lot can cause health problems. My late Grandma always used lard when she cooked. When lard started giving her health problems, her Doctor told her not to continue using it. But she kept using it anyway.
If you cook, please use vegetable shortening. It's better for you. I give lard a 1 star rating.

I just went to Publix recently to buy a tub of Philadelphia Spinach and Artichoke cream cheese. It is one of the smaller tubs and costs $1.99.

The base is exactly like the regular soft cream cheese that Philly makes in the tubs - not the type that comes in blocks. I prefer the block-style cream cheese but this wasn't too bad. There are small bits of artichoke hearts and spinach mixed into the cream cheese. You can taste the artichoke but the flavor is not overpowering as for the spinach, I was not able to taste that at all. I'm not even sure why it was added, perhaps it was just for visual appeal because I surely was not able to taste it.

It was good and I have purchased it since the first time I tried it. I am not sure if it was something that I would purchase on a regular basis but it is great if you want to try something different and you are bored of plain old cream cheese. If Kraft introduced a fat free or lower fat version of this it would surely bomb but the regular was quite good. It tastes a lot like the spinach dip that you eat at parties that is usually surrounded by a round bread bowl. This stuff would be great if eaten on crackers, or fresh bakery bread. I put my cream cheese on those yummy potato rolls from Publix.

I tried two of Philadelphia's newest cream cheese flavors. The first one I tried was the spinach and artichoke which I got a coupon for from Viewpoints. I was very happy with that product so I bought the sundried tomato and basil variety during my next visit to the grocery store.

The sundried tomato and basil version was the worst flavor of cream cheese/dip I have tasted in my life I and I'll never try that again. The flavor was way too strong for my taste buds. It tastes just like canned tomato paste mixed with way too much basil and hardly any cream cheese. I cannot think of one thing that this version of cream cheese would taste good on. Unfortunately it went straight into the garbage can. In other words it is as if I did not get a tub for free after all. I am very disappointed.

So the Philadelphia Spinach and Artichoke is very good but the Sundried Tomato and Basil variety is the absolute worst. I don't know how Philadelphia can make one flavor so good and then one so horrible but they sure did it.

I don't think that I'll be trading my regular cream cheese in for this when it comes to bagels, but the spinach artichoke version is excellent on Ritz crackers.

Awesome taste. Apricot jams are a sure shot, they always taste good. Centerville Farms mixes the apricot with agave and honey, and the result is a well-balanced jam that's the perfect breakfast friend.

Fruit is direct from local farmers, fantastic on pancakes and peanut butter and jam sandwiches. Got to the bottom of the jar and couldn't decide if I should share with the little ones;) Recommend stocking up with a 3-pack.

The best peanut butter I have ever had. I try varieties, yet Peter Pan is #1 in my home!

The price is right and the product is superior to the national brands. If you can buy it in your area, do it! If your store brand has the letters LV in the code on the label, Teddie made it and it's good.
