Only certain things work boiled, like some vegetables. But when it comes to meat and eggs (especially eggs!), no thanks. I don't do snot and slime!

Chicken is the BEST cooked this way -- mouth-watering and bursting with flavor!! Of course, some wouldn't consider fried food of any kind especially healthy, but I believe the type of oil used might play a factor in this.

And here's a little "food for thought": The generations before us managed to eat a lot of that evil fried food, making it to the age of 90 or more, active in body and sound in mind. Now how in the world did that happen?!

I think that this is acceptable for eggs, potatoes, and certain other types of vegetables. However, when I'm cooking vegetables, I never boil them for too long. As some have stated, it does take a lot of the vitamins and nutrients out of them.

And boiling meat is not exactly something that tickles my taste buds.

I think barbecued foods are the tops, especially if you have the right marinades and sauces to accompany whatever your choice of meat may be. There are so many sauces to choose from that it's kind of hard to pick.

I've had mixed results making this in a bread maker. Sometimes its superb, and other times its far too gluey. I have a theory that it depends on how dry the raisins are. I suspect the drier the raisins the better, but I don't make this enough to have tested the theory conclusively.

Boo, this stuff is bogus. It's like the Budweiser of bread. There are much more flavorful and exciting options out there. Don't even think about settling for this kind of dog shit.

Tastes great, and just a short step down from whole wheat in the aroma derby. Goes well with stews and soup and makes excellent toast and sandwiches. One of my favorites.

It's no better than ok. It doesn't smell or taste as good as whole wheat and it doesn't even look as good.

There is something about the aroma of this baking that is almost visceral. Its almost worth making, just for the smell alone, let alone the taste (which is damn good)

I've never been able to make this successfully at home. Fortunately there is an excellent bakery around the corner which produces a version that is worth considering homicide for.
