It's great to see wild ponies, and these ones are magnificent creatures and are also quite tame and gentle - probably used to humans coming to visit them in the New Forest. If you're ever in the New Forest and want to try and see some then one place I've been able to see these ponies roaming is at Picket Post.

Charm is a 3 yr. old registered breed quality paint horse when his owner acquired him. He was slightly lame on his left hind leg, had problems with his front teeth coming in, and there was a slight indentation in his gum line. When the vet saw him, she was concerned about his right hind leg and said she wanted to x-ray it and see what was going on in there.

The x-rays showed he had broken it in two places at least a year prior to this. The vet said he probably got kicked really badly by another horse and his jaw and his leg had been broken. The leg had started to fuse in one spot, but there was still one piece floating free. The vet contacted two clinics, one in California and one in Arizona, but they both refused to do surgery saying the injuries were too old.

Charm received injections of hyurolic acid in three places in his hind leg & was put on an arthritic supplement. He continued receiving the injections every 3-6 months, and he could only be ridden lightly. The vet said that if this didn’t work, she could have him put at a veterinary university as a blood donor.

After hearing about The Missing Link Plus, the owner put him on it immediately. That was one year ago, and he is doing great! No more shots, he shows no signs of lameness, and is ridden two or three times a week. He walks, trots, lopes just fine. In pasture he runs and bucks just like nothing every happened to him. His coat shines and the hair on his neck actually sparkles in the sunlight!

Ancient Wisdom is an Andulsian that suffered with Moon Blindness, which is where the eyes become inflamed and close shut. It is one of the mystery diseases which equine medicine is only beginning to understand the causes and potential remedies for. The key goal of any horse that is diagnosed with this disease is to limit the number of episodes the horse has.

One theory states that a diet rich in Omega 3 fatty acids could help slow down the episodes. The owner heard about The Missing Link and started giving it to Ancient Wisdom. This seems to have eliminated his episodes, as he typically has one every few months. Since he has been on The Missing Link over the past six months, he has not had one episode.

Expensive, but effective! Less expensive fly sprays don't seem to have the residual repellent effect that Tri Tec does. I've been a fan of the Equisect fly sprays for a long time, but I'm finding TriTec to be more effective now.

In the man vs. biting stable flies everlasting battle, this helps me to be a little better armed!

Although it is advertised as a horse shampoo it is also marketed for small pets as well on the Eqyss website: http://www.eqyss.com/

This is without a doubt the finest shampoo that I have tried as of yet for itchy and irritated skin conditions for your pet. The Micro-tek spray when used in conjunction with the shampoo of the same name does a remarkable jog of relieving itching due to allergies, hot spots, flaky skin or any skin conditions your pet may suffer from. It's advertised as a anti-microbial, anti-bacterial leave on spray. For maximum effectiveness it is recommended to use the spray daily between shampooing. Nothing I have used has had as much effectiveness for the itchy dogs who suffer from allergies.

A razor that cuts both ways--in that I mean that is shaves off the price of taking your furkid to a groomer and it cuts away the restrictions of time--the need to schedule a time to take your critter to a groomer and finding the time to take your furkid in. A first timer to grooming, I was, at first, shaky and jittery and wondering if I had made a mistake in purchasing this clipper. But, after a few timid strokes with the clipper, I gained confidence and got the feel of the clipper and how best to hold and use it. After that, it was such a delight to see the fur fall away and leave a new smooth coat of short, easy to bathe and brush fur. The dog loved being groomed and the cool, clean results and I loved knowing I was saving money with each use. The clipper does get a bit hot, but holding off for a few minutes lets it cool off and you are soon ready to go again. The clipper pays for itself in short-order.

unlike the other two reviewers i loved the trimmer. i got mine from dog dot com though but still the same product. this is not a shaver so it doesn't take off a lot of hair at once. it is a trimmer which is great for dog owners who constantly need to trim around the eyes, ears and paws. as a yorkie owner i would definitely recommend it. no nicks and my yorkie that is skittish of almost every weird noise went to sleep while i was doing his paws! the sound is the same as an electric toothbrush. the medium brush takes off very little hair. i used it when i was getting closer to the eyes.

otherwise i used the long comb. great for lining up his beard, ears and paws. the teeth of the comb do seem to clog after a few minutes which is why i give it a 4. you will have to shut it of for a minute and clean the comb with the included brush or pull the hair out with your fingers. maybe even take the brush attachment off and clean under it and then put it back on before continuing. but it only takes a few seconds.

it's about half the size of an average computer mouse. completely wireless and only uses 1 AA battery. the instructions do suggest you take out the battery when not in use to avoid battery drain and accidentally flicking the on switch. the trimmer has already more than paid for itself. on the site i went to they also sell extra blades

We own an aussie/shepard mix whose fur is extremely thick. A previous prof.clipper would take me hours and eventually burned out after a year. When I read that someone posted this cuts through fur like a hot knife cutting butter I had to try it. Well let me tell you this thing is POWERFUL!! In fact I was not expecting it to work that well and ended up taking my dogs coat down to a buzz by accident with the first pass!! Anyway, I evened her up and was done within an hour. I might look into another size blade for a longer cut. Found the device to be easy to handle, not too heavy or loud. Did not overheat. Highly recommend, worth the money.

My experience was opposite (but just as negative) as the other reviewers. We couldn't get it to cut anything at all. If you went over the same spot again and again, you might cut a few hairs each time, but that's hardly practical. The teeth are so small that they just couldn't catch any hair. My guess is that Conair wanted to design a trimmer that would be as safe as possible. A spoon would also be very safe, and just about as effective.

I recently bought these clippers from amazon. They work great. I have an English Springer Spaniel which has quite thick hair. These clippers plowed right through his hair without slowing down. My wife and I were able to give him an decent looking trim considering we've never done it before. My only complaint is that they do seem to get quite hot after using them for a while but it wasn't uncomfortable to handle them.
