This guy is a joke and one of the MOST biased reporters I've ever seen.

His article claimed today Oct 15th 2009 that businesses reported creating or saving more than 30,000 jobs in the first months of President Barack Obama's stimulus program.

What he fails miserably to report is the fact that:

President Barack Obama has repeatedly claimed that his economic stimulus bill would "create or save" 600,000 jobs by the end of this summer.

It's people like Matt Apuzzo who give reporters a BAD name!

'He's the only 1 we've got'; Obama at 8 months - AP article 7Sep09

"They seethe about the expansion of government. But they also shrug that the country got what it elected — a Democrat whose Senate voting record tilted to the left."

Obama's voting record didn't "tilt to the left." He had the most liberal voting record in the Senate as assessed by the National Journal.

Liz has no credibility and doesn't write well.

Apart from her flip-flopping, Sidoti has terrible style that wouldn't be enough to pass a decent high-school English test - in her latest. she writes "Even in the areas where he's made progress — stabilizing the financial sector, for example — people aren't feeling it, so they necessarily aren't giving him any credit."
Huh? "People aren't feeling it??" Yo, peeps, we ain't fillin' da big O! "They necessarily aren't giving him credit??" How's that adverbial placement treating this failure of a journalist?
In a nutshell, she's a joke, a ridiculous failure who should have stayed home baking cookies, provided she knows even that.

Underrated and overlooked. . .check out his work in the Kansas City Star. If he worked on the east coast, he'd be a star. As it is, he is a classic midwest sportswriter.

Update-

Whitlock is aging very well. Writes thought-provoking columns. . .isn't afraid of topical issues. . .and knows sports. Sad shame ESPN didn't want someone who wrote edgy sports columns working for them.

I just read your article about wives no longer showing support for their politically incorrect husbands.

What makes articles like yours so misleading and deadly is the fact that you are toying with such an important issue, marriage.

I know you have limited space, but to use Karlyn Bowman from the American Enterprise Institute's quote:

"The old model didn't work."

It is not that the old model didn't work, especially not in this case. How can a woman compete when she hears her husband has spent five days crying over having to choose his family over the other woman. His wife had no other choice. She had to get out of the marriage.

Unlike Silda Spitzer and Hillary Clinton, Sanford's wife's situation is one of self-preservation. She deserves devoted love also.

Spitzer and Clinton have men who clearly asked for forgiveness and wanted to stay with their wives. The wives did what they felt was in the best interest of the family, which of couse includes themselves.

When I first heard Hillary was staying with Bill, I wrote a seething commentary. Being in a long-term, jacked-up relationship myself; I had reached what I thought was the time for divorce.

I was able to get out of the way and claim God's will for my marriage. I learned a valueable lesson.

"It may be that women just eel that they can do whatever they want."

This statement, according to Bowman is precisely the reason for the destruction of the marital unit.

Your article is fluff.

A recent article (link below), entitled "Analysis: Why do politicians cheat?" reveals that Liz Sidoti is guilty either of bias or sloppy writing. The "analysis" relates to infidelity by politicians. Read this sentence and see how long it takes to discovery Ms. Sidoti's bias:

"The names quickly come to mind — South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford, Sen. John Ensign, R-Nev., Sen. David Vitter, R-La., former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, R-Ga., one-time Democratic presidential hopefuls John Edwards and Gary Hart, former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer, ex-New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, current New York Gov. David Paterson."

REPUBLICANS ARE LISTED FIRST, AND THEY ARE IDENTIFIED BY PARTY. DO YOU NOTICE ANY "D's" BESIDE ANY OF THE DEMOCRATS? It is possible that Ms. Sidoti is only sloppy, not catching that her inherent bias against Republicans caused her to single the Republicans out first and by party. Assuming that Ms. Sidoti has an ordinary level of intellect, this conclusion is doubtful. You decide.

Bierce listed here as a columnist instead of a famous American author? Clever listing.

"The Devil's Dictionary" alone warrants him a high ranking among newspapermen. . .

Not always right nor do I always agree with him. . .but a solid command of the language and tends to make more salient points than the babble of comments he receives afterwards.

Solid yet unspectacular columnist.
