Is there a half star option? Budget almost wrecked my move and had a "Sorry Sucker" attitude the entire time!

I got a phone call at 6PM on the Friday before my Sat. 9AM move. The store clerk who called said "Sorry. Try UHaul." I called Budget's 800 customer service number and a ornery customer service agent said she would have a manager call me in the morning. "But I'm moving in the morning!" was all I could think. The customer service agent couldn't help find another truck...or she didn't want to. She sounded like she had other things more interesting to do than help me out.

So I called UHaul and they had a truck- and guaranteed it. Most people don't know that when you "confirm" a truck with Budget it is not guaranteed. UHaul guarantees thier truck reservations. I understand that in the rental truck business there are unforseen circumstances, however, I would have appreciated a better attitude and a greater effort to help me fix the situation. Two thumbs down.

I send packages all the time internationally, I advice to never used this service, you pay to a USPS $12.30 to send your package, you buy the label online , you drop it to the post office and then they have no clue after 30 days where is to package.

this does not make any sense.

There are some stores around the corner that charge $1.5 per pound delivered door by door internationally and you can get the package on 7 days.

I didn't us it because USPS is a serious company, Now they cover themselves with those stupid insurance policies. If you have a business I think you have to stand for it.

ANY BOOTH LEG COMPANY IS MUCH BETTER THAN THIS MAFIA USPS SERVICE.

They are beyond terrible! I made a move with them back in August 2008 and actually, that was a good move so we decided to go with them again this summer when we moved a second time. The two guys that came to the door were worried because their sheet had said that it was a four family house which was stupid since I told the girl on the phone it was just a 2 bedroom apartment in a 4 family building and I had told the girl that a lot of the furniture we had during that 2008 move had been sold so we had less to move this time. Things were moving along fine until the guys started moving stuff out of the basement and told my mother that they wouldn't be able to take everything. We panicked and I asked, how much can you take and I'm thinking of what I can fit into my car ? I drive a Toyota Corolla. When the guys walked away, my mother and I started wondering aloud, if they thought that we lived in a 4 bedroom house, how were they planning on getting all of the furniture onto their truck if they thought it was more? My mother went outside and saw that they had plenty of room on their truck and she started yelling at them. None of the furniture had been wrapped and they were just being plain sloppy. I was sick since I was the one paying for the move, I didn't know what to do. But because my mom yelled at them, which she was so justified for, it seemed like we really paid for it when they arrived at our new place. Because the guys seemed to be sincerely apologetic and looked scared, we did stupidly take pity on them and chalked it up to them being kids. Our apartment took about 2 hours to empty out, and the ride was only 2 to 3 miles farther north. Even though the place was an upper, we expected it might take some time. It took them about 4 hours to move everything!!!! and to make matters worse, they couldn't get our box springs or couch up the stairs, we had them store them in the garage for the time being. Our landlord told us that they could have gotten our box springs up through the balcony we have, so we called Two Dumbies and a Truck that Monday and asked them what to do. They offered to send 3 men to do it, BUT! it would cost me another $130. It took them about 20 minutes to do it. After all was said and done, we started noticing how damaged some of the furniture was. When the guys moved us, we had them store a lot of it in the dining room because they couldn't get anything straight so we started telling them "dining room," even though all of our furniture was marked and we went through which room was which. it took us about a week to go through some of this stuff and I made another call to a manager there who took his sweet time calling me back. When I read him the riot act about how ridiculous and incompetent this move turned out to be, he started yelling at me and telling me that he didn't have to take my call. He was doing me a favor to which I respond with a few curse words before I hung up. I tried throwing the charge into dispute but when all was said and done, I didn't play my cards right. I got bad movers that I should have kept a closer eye on and should have checked my furniture out better. We've had several people tell us that there was no excuse that they couldn't get that furniture up the stairs. When I moved from a 2 story 3 bedroom house that was eight miles away and only cost me $565, I got to question why a 2 bedroom apartment with less furniture and 2 to 3 milies away would cost me $730. THERE SHOULD BE A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT AGAINST TWO MEN AND A TRUCK! THEY'RE EXTORTIONISTS!!!!

yesterday

We had them move our large items only. It took them less than an hour from door to door. Half way through the move, they wanted us to sign a contract saying it took them 3 hours to move us. We were told originally that there was no minimum time for moving. When I called the supervisor, he said he would hold our items hostage until we paid. Stay FAR away from this company.

I am working for Securitas and I don't have many complaints but those that I have are not small. Is it too much to ask to be paid on time? Or to get paid for every hour I work without having to wait for weeks for them to fix the problem? Or not to have to wait 6 months for vacation check? I work long hours without complaint. I cover when ever they need me to with no problem. But when I tell my manager that I am getting evicted because I can never pay my rent on time do I deserve "that's not my problem, I don't do that."? And when you call for problem to be fixed they are throwing blame around. Well I DON'T CARE WHO MADE MISTAKE, JUST GIVE ME MY MONEY!!!"
Never had any other problems, but I am looking for another job.

I'm very pleased and surprised to be recommending a moving company. When I decided to move from Los Angeles, California to Houston, Texas, I decided to use King Arthur Moving Express. Kelly and his crew carefully wrapped my furniture and possessions. They did such a good job with everything. Anyone who is looking for a company that will treat your belongings like their own should definitely consider King Arthur Moving Express. Bottom line, these guys know their business, and I can't say enough about the crew, they really paid careful attention and made everything easy.

Securitas is an alright company. I've been working with them for a few months now as a FLEX OFFICER, and I gotta admit it's ok. All the people that complain about every little thing needs to get out of the Security business and work flipping burgers. It's hard enough to work with negative people, and people that complain because they have to do stupid shit makes it hard for us who actually wanna do our job. I like the company, but don't get me wrong, they do some bogus shit, but welcome to the real world! If you can't handle the way the real world treats you, then you need to get the fuck out. Security is not supposed to be a downhill ride. I hope that I never have to work with negative officers because I won't put up with any of the shit, if you don't like it then leave. Your supervisors are not your parents and shouldn't have to wipe your ass everytime you shit. Just do your job, put on a fake smile if you have to, but don't complain because it always gets you nowhere!!

Hi All,

We want to express our appreciation for the fine, professional service your company provided to my family in moving my mother from Houston to Canyon Lake. The movers worked from before 9 AM to after 8 PM in loading up two trucks, and yet still arrived for the delivery before 9 AM the next morning. All four men –Dwight, Antonio, Joel, and Mike – were very gracious and helpful throughout both days, and provided great care in the packing and handling of Mom’s household items.

After reading many scary reviews of other moving companies, the reviews of A1 Allstate (that were overall excellent) seemed almost too good to be true. We can attest that A1 Allstate is everything you claim on your web page and more. It was a pleasure getting to work with you, and we highly recommend your services.

From my family, my Mom, and myself, Thank you very much!!

I lasted just over a month at the Cargill site in Blair, NE.

Uniforms:
I went a month with one (a single) pair of uniform pants and only two short sleeve shirts. We could only wear the long sleeve "under-turtleneck" piece with long sleeve shirts. After a quick meeting with the site manager three weeks into employment he asked about my uniform status, and I told him (again) only two short sleeved shirts... Well, a week later he asked "why are you not wearing the turtleneck"? I reminded him of my uniform status, again. "oh". Well, long story, but they want you to wear a proper uniform whether or not they are having issues with the uniform supply company!

The training, that Securitas is so proud of:
When a supervisor was not too busy chasing his own tail due to personnel shortages, he would take a few minutes to train. The coworkers would help out, but everyone is busy doing the menial yet busy work that Cargill should be doing for themselves but has been successful in pawning off to the security company... It took over four weeks to get a tour of the facility I was trying to answer questions from visitors about!

I stood in the rain, stomped through the mud puddles and put up with a lack of training at a hyper-busy post for $10.00/hr with a single pair of uniform pants. Oh, no effective self defense tools allowed, at least, not legally! ;-)

Thank heaven I obtained employment now with an organization that not only writes about how good the training is, but provides it as well. Uniforms? No, just good ol' fashion business casual and not a mud puddle in sight and making nearly twice per hour that what Securitas paid.

Thank you Securitas, for giving me a true appreciation for my current employment. When I find myself taking my job for granted or think I'm having a bad day, I just revisit my time with you and suddenly I am feeling good about my current situation again!
