Our first time to see Criss Angel Believe in Las Vegas was on the September 2nd show this past wednesday at 7 pm. We had just seen the 4:10 pm show of Xtreme Magic with Dirk Arthur at the Tropicana. Needless to say that Criss Angel Believe has a few things to learn about illusions that he can certainly learn from Dirk Arthur for a price. I have seen 2 cirque du Soleil shows this week sofar, and this Cirque du Soleil show by Criss Angel doesn=92t live up to any of these other shows. It would be a Great $25 afternoon show.
His personal life, loves & divorce cover a portion of his show that should not be included. Extreme Magic at around $25 is a better, more entertaining show that far surpasses Criss Angel Believe in illusions & magic tricks at $100 +. If it weren=92t for the 4 clowns to keep the audience entertained, portions of the show would be worthless & boring. Luckily, I have 3 more Cirque du Soleil shows to see this week. THE 5 STAR ***** RATING WAS MY CLERICAL MISTAKE AND SHOULD NOT BE CONSIDERED A TRUE RATING.

It wasn't a bad show, but I won't see it again. Much less acrobatics than I anticipated and much less excitement. I was expecting this to be about fighting, from reviews and what folks have said. It was probably 20% fighting. The premise is that Imperial twins were minding their own business playing with family, when they were attacked by Chinese gangsters and separated. One of the twins gets stranded on a beach and things like crabs and starfish come out to play, which is silly. The other twin hooks up with a buddy and plays with hand shadows. The last twenty minutes, which was a fight scene in which two sides were fighting on a vertical platform, so that you were looking at their heads, was pretty cool. The costumes were also good but not as creative as other shows.

I am giving it a 2 because of Ringling Brothers position now on using animals in their acts and not treating them well. There is a trial that was in Washington DC about their mistreatment of elephants. It was for the Asian elephants that are an endangered species. There were problems with their treatment of other animals. It is not being modern in its way of dealing with animals.

I don't think that all of the people are trying to be mean so I am giving it a 2. Really the clowns creeped me out when I saw them the last time.

Going on when I saw it when I was a kid it was not that bad. But kids don't know what is really happening.

I always wanted to go to the Broadway shows in NewYork and Hairspray was the first one I went. I had watched the movie before and had really liked it. The experience was awesome with the actors performing really well. The audience was singing the songs along with the actors. Next time in NY, check out this show.

The Dream is the right name. From the start the you are carried away. Talented cast amazing feats and technical work sure to entertain. So much to see you can see the show multiple times and still see something different.

Some critics regard ‘Arms and the Man’ as a farce. But it would be a mistake to regard the play as a farce. Shaw has an earnest purpose behind the play. He is no provider of cheap mirth but a philosopher, who plans all the laughs with the unerring instinct of a true artist. The play not only makes us laugh, but also makes us think. Nevertheless, the play sometimes verges on the farce. The knightly chivalry and quixotic manners of Sergius in love-making and warfare, the extravagance of Raina’s idealism, the silliness of Major Petkoff, are exaggerated to ridiculous excess. There are these farcical elements. But the plot develops through the clash of ideas and animated discussions.

This play dramatizes man's struggle with his own destiny and the spiritual victory that he wins at the end. there is something Aeschylean about the whole tragedy and not simply because it depends to some extent on choric narration. It is the struggle that Maurya wages, the destiny she suffers and the enlightenment that she gains at a tremendous price, all of which unite her with a Greek protagonist.

There are 5 Cirque du Soleil's in Vegas but I'm always afraid to book another one because I would miss out on Mystere. I did see Love and was disappointed, not because it was bad but because I didn't see Mystere. There is some comedy intermingled with very cool music and incredible acrobatic acts. The costumes are very well done, colorful and kind of trippy to look at. There is one act with these two muscular guys, one holds the other in the air while his legs are on the ground and one hand tied behind his back. It's about a 10 minute sequence and the strength required is amazing. There are a couple audience members who get involved in the show - if you want to, book the exact center seat in the first row (in section 103) or get a seat on the aisle 6 rows up on the left in section 104. If you are with someone else chances are one of you will be brought up on stage.
