Chain Restaurants

As chain restaurants continue to proliferate the American landscape, the least we can do is to review the quality, health content, and taste of the food they offer. In this section, you can rate fast food restaurants as well as sit-down dining chains. Rank the McDonald's menu items, the best donut chains, and best ice cream parlors.

We regularly have lunch at CPK - either in Oakbrook, Schaumburg, or Geneva, IL.

Rarely have I had something at CPK that I didn't love. I find their food offerings uniformly delicious and the service great. My personal favorites are the new fish tacos, the Thai crunch salad, and the miso seafood salad.

This is one of my favorite restaurants!

I tried these places out during a road trip through the Dakotas, Montana and Idaho in 2001. Over the course of a week, I ate breakfasts at several of them, and dinner at a few more. They were decent, considering what they are, although the service seems to be uniformly sluggish. I normally prefer local, non-franchise places, but my family fell in love with the first one, and we wound up seeking them out. I haven't been in one since, so I have no idea if the intervening years have changed the place.

I've eaten at four of these, and they are pretty much basic chain steak houses, with stand alone steak house prices. The sell a brand, an attitude and a mystique. I love steak houses, and I have absolutely no objection to paying top dollar in them when they're worth it. This place isn't.

This is wretched, and about as Italian as MacDonalds.

If you like pasta made of rubber and marinated in Three-in-One oil, this is the place to find it.

Having read through some of the positive reviews below I notice a consistant theme of praise for the breadsticks. It strikes me that anyone making a point praising a restaurant for its tasty free breadsticks has revealed a lot about the overall quality of the joint, and the value of their opinion about food.

For years I thought it was called the Olive Oil Garden. They are adept at smothering the taste of everything with 100ml of cheap olive oil, a 1/4 cup of basil and and a half dozen cloves of garlic, even the draught beer.

Awful... You might as well throw some lasagna in the microwave...... Oh..Wait.... that's what they do! Thier entire kitchen is microwaves, no ovens. Nothing is fresh....NOTHING, EVERYTHING is frozen and re-heated. Those of you who think your getting good food are sadly mistaken.....no offense but you are literally paying $20 for fast food. But those of you who still insist on going..... don't ever wait more the 15 minutes for your food (it dosen't take any longer than that to heat it up). If you do either the server forgot to ring in your order, or something is really frozen and it need some time to de-thaw. You will taste the freezer burn YUCK!!!

I just love Chick-fil-a, for several reasons. The food is good, but the customer service is outstanding! I am a young mom of a toddler and expecting another baby soon. Employees are always so willing to help me, bring a high chair, grab refills for us, whatever. Even the people taking the orders are always so friendly and fast. I look forward to going there because I know it will never be a hassle and it's clean. Which is way more than I can say for many other fast food restaurants. With a kid's meal, they will even let your children trade in the toy for an ice cream cone! How great is that?! Thank you Chick-fil-a for setting such a high standard for fast food. I wonder what makes them so different?

The Lansing Michigan pf changs has always been top notch, has been on my top two favorite list since it opened several years ago, I have been there at least 30 times, twice they messed up my meal or took too long, both times my meal was free and one time they gave me a free lunch coupon in addition. The changs lettuce wraps are wonderful, changs spicy chicken is great, the dali chicken is very spicy but very good, the szechuan by the sea was wonderful, the soups are great, I LOVE THIS PLACE!

I am very upset with the cheesecake factory's lack of professionalism. Their online service is terrible. I ordered a cheesecake to be delivered to my son on a friday. When it did not arrive, I assumed that it would most likely be delivered on that Saturday. Of course, saturday rolls around.....no cheesecake.....and they are closed, so I cannot talk to anyone. MONDAY comes....I am upset...but I will be okay if he just gets the dang cheesecake. NOPE.....I call and find out that for some reason the cheesecake factory NEVER sent out the cheesecake. The options......they could cancel the exsisting order and refund my money or cancel the order and make a new one. Why have a shop online business if you cannot effectively run the business. I will report this to the better business bureau and I plan to tell all my friends to never order from them again. If you order from this business....BEWARE!!!

SONIC HAS RUINED THERE BURGERS BY PUTTING A McDonnell's TYPE YELLOW GOOPY SAUCE ON THE BURGERS EVEN IF YOU ONLY WANT MUSTARD. I GUESS I WILL HAVE TO JUST GO TO BRAUMS TO GET A BURGER WITH MUSTARD. I TRIED THREE DIFFERENT LOCATIONS THIS WEEK AND THEY ALL WERE THE SAME. I USED TO EAT LOTS OF SONIC
BURGERS EVERY WEEK BUT CAN'T STAND THIS SAUCE. THAT IS WHY I NEVER LIKED McDonnell's BURGERS. THEY HAVE GON FROM 5 STAR TO NO STAR IN MY BOOK!!!
