I have started up my membership again giving them one last try, my promotion was the free coffee pot and the gal told me for $10. I would only have to pay $1. for future shipments which I agreed to, they billed my credit card the $29.95 plus the $10. fee for the shipping and
handling promotion, now I find out that I do not get my shipping and handling for this amount but have to pay full price, they are really dumb people here as no one knows what I am talking about. Not worth the hassel. Customer Service here stinks.

Review Icon bigbox reviewed Gevalia in Coffee:
Was a Gevalia fan for 15 years. Have spent over $12,000 dollars. Occasionally the coffee was 'off' (fish smell) but generally we loved it. We had some problems with a shipment a year back and went through HELL with customer service to get it replaced (they shipped us the wrong product, we were billed and we had to ship their mistake back before they would ship us a new shipment - to this day this was never resolved). We overlooked it. On our last shipment - shipment #175 - we received an unsealed box in our regular monthly shipment of 10 boxes for the month. Called customer service. Was interrogated. Was told to ship back this one stupid single 1/2 lb box so they could send out a new one. Are you kidding me! I cancelled the 15 year membership. Told them to forget the replacement as I was throwing the single box away. They supposedly cancelled the membership - and sent me a replacement single box! - and billed me for their mistake!!!. We are done - done - done. I was an apolstle for Gevalia for years - but now I will do everything I can to tell everyone to stay - stay - stay away. Their Customer Service was obnoxious and couldn't give a damn about a 15 year loyal paying customer. Go to Costco, BJ's, Sam's Club and buy Starbucks or one of their private label store "strong" blends. Its 1/3 the price and the quality of the product and the service is better.
F' Gevalia.

Review Icon magellan reviewed Javaccino in Coffee:
The Javaccinos are OK. No better and no worse than the Starbucks ones.

They have 140 calories in 9.5 oz, which is the same calories as a 12 oz can of regular coke.

They are also organic, whatever that means.

I am trying my first Starbuck Drink that comes in a can.I was wondering how different this stuff is from the regular bottled Starbuck frapuccino. the first thing o noticed is when I opened the can it sounded like opening a soda, so I assume it's a carbonated coffee drink(ew), but it's not. It has guarana, guinseng and B vitamins, but I can't taste those flavors. It tastes good although it is not cold (it wasn't on the fridge but on my desk). So, this drink tastes as the normal frapuccino stuff but I guess it will give me more energy.

Since Maxwell House switched their coffee beans to Arabica, it tastes so much richer. It has more flavor "depth" to it by far than Folgers. Folgers is weak tasting compared to Maxwell House.

Mediocre coffee. For fast food coffees, it's probably one of the better coffees. I like that it's really really hot. The way coffee should be served.

I like coffee really steamy hot, black and fairly strong. To me, if you add creamers and sugar, you are drinking something other than what coffee should be.

So my brother got me turned on to this place, and while an animal like myself has no need for more caffeine, I find the coffee tasty, plus its cheaper than Starbucks, and at least at the Central and Camelback location here in Phoenix, the staff is rather fetching, I must say. My brother's crazy ass gets this thing with 6 shots called a 911, but I prefer the Milky Way with about 3 shots.

So a couple of Rate-it-all folks have rated the actual physical location of where this coffee is stored, but I wanted to rate the coffee itself and let others on here know you don't have to live in New Orleans to get this terrific coffee.

I buy mine either at Cost Plus stores or online at Cafe Du Monde's website.

For those who think Starbucks, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Seattle's Best Coffee and Peet's are great.... I say, you haven't tried great coffee yet, unless you've tried Cafe Du Monde's Chicory Coffee.

Years ago, pre-Katrina (bless you all), I had to go to New Orleans for several business trips. They say you haven't truly been to 'naw'lins' until you've had a Beignet (French doughnut) and some Cafe Du Monde Chicory Coffee.

Everyone was correct!

Well, the problem was after I bought cans and cans of the stuff and packed them in my suitcase... I ran out quickly as the weeks went by and realized I was truly having coffee withdrawals. This was good stuff.

What makes this coffee great is that it tastes SOOOOO SMOOTH (like buttah, baby!)

No acidic taste. Smooth, creamy, velvety and rich. It will please any 'coffee guru' - no matter how you take it. The chicory root makes all the difference in the flavor.

If you are cringing about what the heck chicory root is... don't. The cool part is that it has healthful benefits. It not only cleanses the body of toxins and promotes good colon and intestinal health, but helps to improve the health of your liver (good for you partiers... hiccup! - cure a hangover and repair your liver at the same time!) Whoo hoo!

Anyway, as Winter approaches and you're thinking of sitting by the fire and reading your Sunday paper with breakfast, you'll truly enjoy having a cup of this coffee. And you'll be having your last brew ha ha laugh, knowing you're doing something good for your health, too! Enjoy!
