What a difference a good shave makes! This badger hair brush lathers well and is kind to the face. I wish I'd got one of these years ago. And it hasn't shed at all. Hang it upside down or rest it on its side to dry and it remains fluffy. Good product and worth the few dollars more.

Thanks, little critter.

I like being able to buy this stuff in bulk, and it's a good value. Hadn't used this before, but now I alternate between it and Williams. Face lather with a cheap badger brush, and I get great results.

I read so many glowing reviews for this product that I was sure my husband would love it. Unfortunately, as soon as he applied this cream to his skin and started shaving, he told that it caused an unpleasant tingling sensation, which soon turned into a mild burning.

I decided to use this "crema da barba", made in Italy to shave my leg. The cream is very smooth and lathers well, but I didn't like the smell at all: it was too strong & too cheap. Obviously, scent is a very personal thing, so please don't concentrate on this part of the review too much.

I didn't feel any tingling - just a little bit of a cooling effect on my legs. While shaving legs, I accidentally touched my face with my hand, and right away I felt what my husband was describing before. I washed the cream away within seconds. I also looked at the ingredients used in it, and I believe that menthol can cause this irritation. Unfortunately, the label doesn't indicate the percentage used, so it is difficult to say for sure which component may have caused this unpleasant tingling. Also, because menthol has an ability to quickly penetrate the skin layers, it can carry other chemical compounds with it. One of the components in this shaving cream is sodium borate, which is safe for use in cosmetics up to a specified concentration limit (in concentrations less than or equal to 5%), but as I mentioned earlier, the % used is not specified on the label, so at this point we can only guess. At 5% and higher boric acid should not be used on infant or injured skin as it causes irritation.

If you don't have a sensitive skin, give it a try, but my husband will have to go back to "Cremo Cream" & "Art of Shaving" creams.

I like the idea of shave soap, but man... having used Taylor shaving cream, this stuff just takes too much effort and time to lather and apply. While I enjoy a nice close, clean shave, shave soap just isn't practical for me. I do like the smell and feel of this stuff when I do take the time to use it, but I actually think I get a better, more enjoyable shave using Taylor of Old Bond Street shaving cream.

I have no complaints. The ergonomics took some getting used to without a contour dedicated for your thumb. The shave is very smooth and battery seems to lasts forever.

My husband really likes this electric shaver. Clean up is a simple rinse! He has always used Norelco shaver but this is his favorite one.

This is an excellent soap for the money. No doubt the user that said it was hard to lather has either very hard water or is not proficient with lathering hard shaving soaps. And the dirty little secret about the wooden bowls amongst all the vendors is that they're nearly all proprietary sizes. This forces you to get their bowl with their soap so they can make an extra buck off of you. Some are interchangeable but not many. And creams lather in almost any kind of water so no surprise about his experience with them. Creams are excellent but many men prefer the hard soaps because their performance is so good, superior even.

Taylor's is an excellent shaving soap. In fact this soap provides lots of protection and lots of cushion yet it's versatile enough to pivot into a slicker lather with the addition of a tiny bit of water to the formed lather for application on the second pass (or even the first pass if you're so inclined). Fantastic stuff. It has a genuine sharp yet bright lavender scent that is thee classic scent of men's shaving soap. I've used all the premium hard shaving soaps - D.R. Harris, Trumper, Art of Shaving, Truefitt and Hill, Kent, Penhaligon's, Tabac and Valobra (stick version). Taylor's is right up there with all of the best. They're all fine soaps and some are better than others but at this level you're splitting hairs (no pun intended) so there's really not much difference. Of course the Taylor's costs less which is a blessing. I recommend you try all the top shelf shaving soaps (the ones I mentioned as well as many others) and decide for yourself what you like but don't knock the Taylor's on performance as it is one of the best.

I ordered this for my Electric Shaver and it is good. It is just the refills, but I have no problems with it and it cleans my shaver 100%.
