3 yrs ago we purchased a mini pocket rocket at minipocketrockets.com for my grandson and we were totally pleased. It took a few days longer to receive and had small damage on the back. It was hard to reach them by phone, but the damage was so minor that we decided to just not complain. My grandson got great enjoyment from his pocket rocket for 2 years. Last year we sold it at our neighborhood community yard sale because he out-grew it. I have read lots of complaints but I can honestly say our experience with the company was a good one. We are going to make another purchase from the company of a Quad for this Christmas and I am hoping I'm able to post another good review of that purchase.

Do not buy generic motorcycles. When one needs repairing, it's hard to find a mechanic to fix it. My brother owns a generic 110CC motorcycle. After he rode it for two months, the muffler burned out and now it needs a new one.
Mufflers won't burn out on name brand motorcycles and if they do, it takes a long time to happen.
A name brand motorcyle is sitting on a balanced frame. A generic is not. This makes generic motorcycles more difficult to ride.
Yes generic motorcycles are cheaper. But you'd be better off buying a used name brand than a brand new generic.
The name brand motorcycles are: Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, and Yamaha. I give Generic motorbikes a 3 star rating.

In descending order of value for money:

HONDA
BMW
YAMAHA
SUZUKI
TRIUMPH
KAWASAKI
DUCATI
HARLEY DAVIDSON
VICTOR
BUELL

I'd suggest staying away from off-brand bikes, as they could be dangerous and unreliable.

To all of you who repeatedly denounce Harley's as worthless, I have owned my '02 1200 Custom for about 3 years now, and not once has it needed even a slight tune up. Great running bike, fast as hell, and above all, RELIABLE. Also, when I did a complete powertrain rebuild, by choice for more performance, not necessity, it was probably the easiest of all the bikes I have ever worked on. To those who like to crack jokes about how the Harley is a shitty bike compared to theirs...ie, a CBR 600 RR, I seriously doubt you know half as much as you say. Judging a bike based on the ability to go 0 to 150 in about 30 seconds is the most ridiculous and heinous argument I have ever heard. A bike does not have to go that fast to be a good bike. Another point, most of the ones who brag about how fast their bike is, have ABSOLUTELY no judgement, or foresight for that matter. When you crash at 150 mph, which is almost inevitable, you will be lucky if you only kill yourself, and not someone else. In the event that you do survive, I will still be riding my reliable 1200 while your bike is in pieces on the highway and you are in the ICU. When I see someone post something along the lines of, I eat Harley's with my VMX1200, I immediately thing, that F250 you rear end at 150 will be eating YOU for about 200 yards down the highway when you plow into him. Just as an example, my father was rear ended in 1979 by a CB1000X doing about 150 while he was doing 30. You couldn't fit a slice of bread between the tail gate and the cab after the accident. The motorcycle rider hit a telephone pole 180 ft further down the road, and he was still 8 ft in the air upon impact. His feet were ripped off at the ankles by the foot pegs, and a piece of his skull 4 inches by 4 inches was missing, this was while wearing a helmet. So while you ride around trying to impress me with your so called "skill" on a rice burner, I shake my head in wonder that you aren't dead already. And sometimes, in my off days, I wish you were, to remove the jackasses that pose a risk not only for yourselves, but me as well. My point is this, the people who make stupid comments like the afore mentioned, have no credibility as a rider, only as complete morons who bought the bike not for the name, but for the image of being a badass that can go fast. In reality, you aren't as badass as you think, the telephone pole, the pavement, and the minivan will all testify to that.

Oh, and to the guy who thinks the V-Rod is a poor excuse for a watercooled bike...watch a real race... and you will see. The V-Rod dominates. Thank you for proving you too are a jackass.

Best bike ever. I have owned two of them at 2000 and a 2004. Only problem with the BMW's ALL OF THEM is that you must have an inseam of at least 32 inches to safety ride them as they are made only for tall people. I, only being 5'4" with 29 inches from my bottom to the ground have a bit of a ''top-toe'' problem when I stop. This is the main reason that I am now riding a Honda.

Minipocketrockets is a fair site, nothing was wrong with my x7 bullet except for the fact that it leaked oil A LOT. i wasnt sure where this came from considering it was a 2 stroke which required gas/oil mixture..

Fair site to buy from.

The C series is the third and newest of Suzuki's three cruiser models. The M series is the former Maurader, the S series is the former Intruder, the C series is more dressed with full fenders, more weight and less power.

The C50 is the least powerful bike I've owned but it's a cruiser, designed for a relaxing ride rather than blasting through traffic or around twisty roads. Truthfully I was ready to sell the bike shortly after buying it but I receive compliments every outing, many more than my previous sportbike or standard. Women especially, frequently approach me and comment about how much they like the bike. Kinda hard to get rid of something that attracts so much attention. The ride is nice but the seat is a bit soft and doesn't really match the riding position. Ends up with my weight resting on about a 2 inch patch of my butt across the seat. After a few hours it becomes uncomfortable. The bike doesn't have any trouble keeping up with traffic although it would benefit from a sixth gear. I ride fast on the superslab and it buzzes like a hornet's next rocked by a kid up around 85-90 mph. Even with my liberal use of throttle, I still get around 45mpg; just slightly less than the estimated 49 mpg. One very annoying problem, sometimes the bike doesn't like to downshift from 3rd or 2nd gear. From reading several forums, this is a common problem with the Boulevard and there is an aftermarket bushing available that reportedly fixes it.

Do not buy anything from Mini Pocket Rockets.com. My 11 year old son saved his money to buy a mini pocket rocket. It hasn't worked properly since we received it. It was shipped (from China of course) with the wheels loose in the box. There was no this side up on the box so by the time we received it most of the plastic body parts were broken. Finally got all that fixed tried to run it and springs broke, than had to order a new carborator (had to pay for it because they thought we were trying to get free parts out of them)!! The four wheeler is a piece of shit and not worth half of what we paid for it. Customer service is a joke, they could care less about all the problems you have with their product. My poor son has probably gotten 30 minutes total on the thing since we got it 7 months ago. My poor husband and neighbor (who is a mechanic) have spent hours and hours working on the stupid thing. I can't say it enough DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. This lesson has cost us more than $500, hopefully I can save other people the same agrevation!!
