This looks like it would have fit right in the the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving special.

I'm not much of a pie eater, but every Thanksgiving, if there is a pumpkin pie, I will take a piece with a dollop of Cool Whip.

Some years ago I went to a Halloween party (at which most of the guests worked in politics) as John Ehrlichman. It was kind of fun, but that was probably the only kind of group that would have got the joke.

And yes, there is some natural resemblance. Unfortunately....
And I categorically reject any suggestion that there is an ethical resemblance.

If all is working right, there should be a pic with this item of me and the Dark Lord. Its a cool enough mask, I guess, and not so elaborate that you gotta drop a shitload of coin to pull it off.

If I see Vader I'm taking him out, but not before I yell "NOOOOOOOO!" to taunt him.

UPDATE: An authentic Vader runs about 800 bucks. Crazy, huh?

I had high hopes for this costume, and it (mostly) delivered. Only a few folks really knew who I was, but those people really appreciated it.

The only issues I had were:

1) making my hair gray - I used a combination of gray makeup and white powder. It was kind of a mess, and I made everything around me gray. The makeup also had sparkles in it, making my a hair a bit more fabulous than I had planned.

2) the beard. I bought a Gandalf beard and chopped it way back, and then used non-toxic glue to glue it to my face. It looked pretty good, but removing the beard was absolute hell. Just because the glue was non toxic doesn't mean it wasn't prepared to rip the skin off of my face. I ended up having to steam up the shower for a half an hour to even start to peel the thing off.

3) the six pack. Because it was a prop, I didn't drink it. It's a pain the ass to lug a full six pack around all night.

I also carried around an iPod with the Spanish guitar theme song looped in my pocket. Good on paper, but the volume wasn't loud enough.

I almost went as Pericles last year for Halloween; I opted for Charlie Chaplin instead. Next year, I'll go as Pericles :)

So I went to a place where a friend of mine was on Halloween and it was an anime crowd. I have never seen so many oversized foam weapons in my life. I took my big ass light spear so I could keep up with the sheer ridiculousness of the weaponry and I still didn't have the biggest weapon. Them people are freaks, I tell you, especially the pudgy dude with a beard dressed like Sailor Moon...

100% execution on whether your video game costume flies or dies. I wanted to he-bitch man-slap the Mario I saw, I shot the shit with Darth Nihlius since he and I had the only good lightsabers at this particular large public gathering, and the Street Fighter girls costumes were bad ass, even though it was fairly obvious that they were jailbait.
