I like the idea that you can have some snuff without spitting or even having someone noticing you have a snuff in your lip, but THIS ISN'T A NEW IDEA, PEOPLE!!!!! Snus has been around even longer than dipping tobacco, and people have been able to have this spit-free enjoyment for WAAAAY longer than the average American kid probably thinks. The only reason Camel gets away with selling this garbage is because Americans are ignorant and think that Snus is a brand new thing invented by Camel, so they settle for this garbage of a snus, and Camel makes money on American ignorance.

I guarantee that if someone who used this product actually took the time to order some real authentic Swedish-made snus, they would never by this cheap Americanized version ever again. Camel made this product just to figure out a way to get young kids hooked on nicotine, so they adapted this product for the states so that high schoolers can "smoke" during class without the teachers knowing it. The same way they invented all these new cigarettes flavors a few years ago that appeal heavily to the younger crowds who like the sweet stuff. It seems to me that ever since they had to get rid of Joe Camel, they've adapted quite nicely to still being able to get teenagers to smoke, and now they've stepped over the line by making this shitty snus.

And let me point out before you slander my review that I am an American, I am a snuff user, and I smoked for a couple years, so I do know what I'm talking about. I'm by no means saying that cigarettes should be made illegal, I'm just saying that Camel should stop making such horrible products.

I'm going to start off by saying that red man (classic) is the only leaf tobacco chew I've ever tried, and as a dipper, I'm quite positive at this point that I'm going to stick to snuff. That's not to say that this is a bad product though, I only say that because I'm just not a fan of having a massive wad of tobacco between my cheek and gums.

The flavor of Red Man has got to be a better flavor than any can of dip I've ever had (and I've had a lot of different dips). It's sweet, mapley, and long lasting, which is perfect for any chewing tobacco. I told myself "if they could put this exact same flavor into a dip, it would probably be the last brand of dip I'd ever buy." So i made the mistake of buying a can of Red Man Straight dip, hoping it would taste similar to the chewing tobacco, and I was thoroughly disappointed because it tasted like ass >.>

I give this product a 4 out of 5 because the flavor is better than anything I've ever had before, but the buzz sucks.

I like the flavor, but flavor isnt everything obviously. Besides Skoal Wintergreen and Skoal Mint, all the other flavors of skoal don't last worth a damn. Berry Blend is sweet and juicy, but the buzz sucks, and its usually hard as a rock and dry as a bone after 5 minutes in your mouth. Stick to Mint or Wintergreen.

I've been chewing Cope Snuff for years. I love it. I'm addicted. I find the "made" date very useful. Cope tends to dry out on the shelf. Should be no longer than 2 weeks old. If you are a new user I'd advise quit ASAP. I've been quiting for years, but am still chewing.

I give southern pride 4 stars, is a little sticky and some stems but nothing too bad. I would choose this over red man original, and you cant beat the price. I can get it for 2.29

I don't like reviewing the topics that simply state the brand name and not a specific flavor because products within brands suck as well. I'll give you an example: Skoal Wintergreen- Good, Skoal Mint- Great, Skoal Straight- Nasty Crap. The difference in flavors within brands makes it hard to write a catch-all review.

I felt compelled to review Kodiak, in general, because I have to point out that Kodiak Straight is, in my not so humble opinion, the best dip ever created! You cant get it at the stores where I'm from, all they have is wintergreen, which I've had before, and liked for the most part since it was very moist, very long lasting, packed better than anything I've had before, and came in a very tight-sealed container that kept the dip very fresh. The only think I hated about it was the strong flavor that seemed to burn a hole in my lip. I found myself spending most of the time switching sides rather than being able to enjoy this good quality dip. I feel the excessive flavoring ruined this almost perfect dip.

So, because of this, i figured that logically, Kodiak Straight would be god-like, so when my girlfriend went down to Virginia to see her brother, I told her to pick up a few cans of Kodiak Straight for me, but she came back with Grizzly Straight instead. She got the wrong bear >.> So, since she loves pandas so much, I went out and bought her a stuffed polar bear and told her since she got me the wrong bear, so I got her the wrong bear too... and that's my dip love story right there, I wonder if anyone else has one of those?

Now that im done divulging, Ill wrap this up by saying I wound up ordering a sleeve of Kodiak Straight from a website stationed in Virgina, and let me tell you, what I got was just as amazing as I had expected. A great kick, great packability, easy on my lip, awesome long-lasting buzz, and a nice black-licorice flavor that's just sweet enough :-). If you get a chance to buy Kodiak Straight, Do it!

This dip doesnt last worth a damn. Grizz straight, on the other hand, lasts a real long, packs better, and tastes nearly just as good. Compared to Wintergreen and Mint, this flavor just doesn't cut it.

Straights are my bread and butter, they're what I prefer to dip 90 percent of the time.

Grizz straight is one of my all time favorites because it's cheap, has a nice mellow flavor, and lasts waaaaay longer than skoal straight. I've had Skoal straight, and though I'll admit it tastes better, the flavor lasts two seconds. Grizz on the other hand keeps up for a real long time, and mellows me out quite nicely. This is the only cheap straight i can think of that is clearly better than a premium straight on multiple levels.

I only had two pinches of this before I went to pack it, and the flimsy can opened all over the floor of my car seat. Ive said this before, and I'll say it again. I respect Copenhagen because they've been around forever, and have always had good tobacco with nice natural flavors, but that cardboard can has got to go.

The only other natural I've ever had was Grizz, which tasted like a foot (they're other flavors are great). This tasted like heaven compared to that, but lasted just as long and gave me just as good of a buzz. To conclude, if I ever feel compelled to dip a natural again, I'm not going to pay 2 dollars extra for Copenhagen when it's really not that much better that Grizz.
