Wonderful easy to use app. No longer need to keep bits of paper and eventually lose track of my CME!

Great toddler app, beautiful artwork and excellent music. One of the nicest I've seen for kids.

This is the first game app I paid for and I did it because the lite version sucked me in. The full version is $0.99 so I decided to get it.

The basics of the game is that you have a tower to protect using your warriors you send to the battle field to fight against the bad (they are bad and ugly) warriors that come from the enemy's tower. You pass a level when your warriors reach the enemy's tower and destroy it. And that 's it, level after level, nothing changes (only the ugly guys, they are more difficult to kill)

When you play a couple of times, the game becomes boring and repetitive, and the only incentive is to upgrade your warriors using the gold that you receive when killing the ugly guys.

After playing 3 times (for long periods) I am starting to hate the game. When I played the first time I loved it so that is why I am giving it 3 stars.

I'm not sure if reaching more levels the game will change or improve, I will let you know if I have free time to play this app again.

Copying Lena, I am adding a video of the game:

Hook Champ is a charmingly low-res platformer iPhone game where you use a grappling hook to navigate dank, dark caves collecting coins and saving pixelated relics. The relics have been cursed, and so as you swing around each level, you're followed by a black blobby creature that rawrs (it's really more of a rawr than a roar) and eventually eats you if you go too slowly.

The coins allow you to buy powerups and weapons...which come in handy as the levels get pretty damn hard after a while.

Gameplay is incredibly satisfying, and the NUI was well thought out. Controls are simple and intuitive, and the game is a lot of fun. My one complaint is that they play quick intro sequences each and every time you retry a level....It would be better if they skipped the few text blocks if you've played the level before.

Regardless of that minor complaint, this is one of the best games I've found on the iPhone yet! Major props to the developer for creating a fun and innovative game.

Here's the trailer so you can get a taste of the quirky, low-res graphics and the blobby monster :)

Sounds interesting but I'm working on one that should out do it. You pick an entry from your contact list, their face pops up on the screen, you touch the screen and the bell at the church they attend rings out, wherever it is. I'm gonna call it 'Face Rings a Bell'.

Learn that Name! is an app that tries to help you to place a name with a face. It sucks in your LinkedIn contacts and quizzes you on the faces and employers of people in your network.

It's fun. For about five minutes.

What I've found is that I either know the person in my network, or I don't. There are just not so many hazy in betweens that this app can help with.

I saw this cute little game while browsing through the iTunes app store and I thought it would be perfect for my little one. She really enjoys helping me in the kitchen, but I obviously can't let her do TOO much. I thought maybe she could learn a little bit about cooking and keep herself busy while I'm making the family's dinner, so I picked up this app for her.

The game is pretty straight forward. The player is given a choice of several meals to make (salads, sandwiches, ice cream, etc.) and then they have a large selection of ingredients to put into the meal – some of which make for
a tasty meal, some of which don’t. After they are done mixing their ingredients, a little girl food critic tastes the meal and gives her reaction.

What I really enjoyed, and what I believe kept my daughter coming back for more, were the very crisp visuals and sounds. The little critic is not only funny, but her voice is recorded in very high quality. A lot of the other iPhone apps we play can be a bit lacking in this department. Also, there a lot of different responses to be heard from the critic. My daughter really wants to get to hear all of the different reactions for all of the different meals. The game is not incredibly deep but it does seem to be providing her with a good amount of replay value.

Overall, I have nothing bad to say about this game. The content is ok for all children and the game is very funny and proved to be a surprisingly nice learning tool for my child. For the price I paid (99 cents) I have absolutely nothing bad to say about Little Cook and I definitely recommend it to any parents who may be looking for a nice and inexpensive way to keep your child occupied and keep them learning applicable knowledge.

I first tried this app at version 1.0 and thought they were biting off a lot, maybe too much, for a single iPhone app. Version 2.0 is available now and it is a lot more functional, and you can use it as a remote control for your TiVo and/or Netflix account.

What this app tries to do is ambitious. I'm not sure I could describe it completely, but here's what I use it for. After picking what cable TV provider I'm using, i.TV downloaded the channels I receive, and it shows you what's on. By that I mean it actually shows you image thumbnails of the programming, not just the name of the show.

Then you can tap the show and if it's on now, it will control the TiVo through your home network. This is pretty cool because it's like having another remote, but one that works from anywhere in the house. If the show isn't on yet, it will connect to the Tivo web service and schedule the recording with the device.

The app also acts like a Netflix client, so you can view your queue, pick DVDs to rent, search for movies, stream movies instantly through your TiVo, etc.

The app also acts like an iTunes music store remote, but I haven't played with that part yet.

Again, it's an ambitious app, and probably a little more complicated than most people would expect to work well as an iPhone app, but the fact that the Tivo remote part works so well has earned it a place on my phone.

It's a great app for the mobile office. If there is enough light to take the picture it's even better than my fax at home!
