I was given heartworm medication for my dog who weighs 125 lbs. The directions said to give 1 and one half tablets (split a tablet ) instead of prescribing one box for 100lb and one box for 50 lb so I could give whole tablets. Open tablets thaat have been split lose their efficacy. Also, my dog had a skin infection and was prescribed antibiotics. The dosage was not correct and the skin infection wasn't cleared up. I found another vet.
