Did a concrete rock wall for a shared wall between my yard and neighbors yard. They left concrete all over the area, no cleanup at all, and did not even give it a finishing brush. Found empty beer cans in the wall to take up space rather than use concrete. (to save money) Now wall is all uneven, and unfinished. going to have to fix it myself or pay someone else to complete it. DO NOT USE Them. Never returned my calls.

I wil not recommend this company to anyone.
They charged me 150.00 to come over and tell me that the pilot re-igniter in my furnace was bad. They would have to research the part, and then go pick it up from where they found it. Could not tell me how long it may taKE TO FIND THIS PART, BUT i'LL BE PAYING THEM 75.OO PER HOUR.
I am sure they have a supply person doing this research, I pay 75 an hour to have plumbers come to my house. I was told the part may be as much as 250.oo and they could not guarantee that this will fix it.

Well, I found the part on the internet for 75.00 (86 shipped) and guess what. that was not the problem anyway.
So, I could have piad them another 300 - 450 dollrs and it may not be fixed yet.
That is outrageous

We are from out of town and not knowing anyone in El Paso, we went with who we saw first. Bill's crew came out on a Friday and had to fix a part of our pipe, in order to winterize our swamp cooler. And charged $130. They neglected to put our swamp cooler cover on. We called Bill's and they said it would be Monday before they could come by. We weren't very happy they took so long to fix their mistake and decided we would not call them back for any future plumbing needs should they come up. A month later, we come home from vacation to find our master bedroom flooded. We call a new company, Water Control Plumbing, and they determined the problem was the piece of pipe that was fixed by Bill's had not been done properly. In fact, they didnt even take the old piece off, they just put a new piece over it and caused the leak. The leak went through the wall and flooded our bedroom. This was $260 to fix. When we told Bill's of what their crew had caused, Bill said you should have given us another chance to fix it, and that he didn't think he should pay anymore then $75. An hours worth of labor for them. So here we sit $390 later, with ruined carpet, and sheet rock, and Bill could care less. He gave us his $75 check making sure that everything was settled and done with. I guess he's more concerned with being sued then keeping customers. Will definitely NEVER recommend Bill's Texas Plumbing to anyone I know.

DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT, buy a Tropicana Home. You will spend half your life dealing with the warranty department over all the defects that were overlooked by their "quality" control person, whom I met in person and with whom I was not impressed. Below is a list of problems that arose before and after the closing date:
1. did not follow color schemes on request form
2. wrong colors on interior and exterior railings
3. fans in wrong rooms
4. wrong trim color
5. 6 inch scratch on kitchen counter top
6. water leaks from hose between kitchen sink and dishwasher.
7. wrong pumps (temporary) in both A/C units
8. A/C unit water leak due to improper water levels initially adjusted by builder and never tested.
9. Leak from A/C unit penetrated unsealed joint of furnace flue located directly underneath the A/C unit.
10. Furnace had to be completely replaced after first year due to extensive rust from water A/C unit leak and rainwater that penetrated unsealed joint of furnace flue.
11. Rainwater leaked into garage 6 month and one year after closing date due to cracks in stucco wall on 2nd story above garage. Builder could not figure out water entry point. I had to go to roof to inspect area. I cauled and painted the wall myself with high quality sealer and paint.
12. Chipping paint around garage trip when house six months old. Contractor never primed before painting trip. I primed and painted trim myself over a year ago and it is not chipping yet.
13. Damaged circuit breaker due to rain water seeping through gap in housing of circuit breaker box.
14. Whirlpool microwave died about 18 months after closing date. Motor had to be replaced.
15. Water meter too low and covered with a plastic cover that does not fit. Builder told me to contact water company. Water company told me to contact builder.
16. Scratches on dining room window after move-in. Had to replace window completed.
17. All flues on roof well below code requirements. Had to be extended to meet code.
18. Textured walls had untextured spots that had to be textured.
19. One floor tile in one bathroom not flush and could cause tripping.
20. Upper tile around fireplace is uneven. Told by tile installer that contractor had built the wall "unevenly" but wall measured out just fine.
21. Security alarm rep told me it would cost $100 per window to connect contacts. Later said $10 or no cost if I signed a long-term monitoring service agreement. After signing a monitorying service agreement, Tropicana sales rep tells me that connection of contacts is included with home purchase.
Too late!
22. Side gate handle too "tight". Requires two hands to pull back to open gate. Rock wall would need to be demolished to replace gate.
23. Lots and lots of broken beer bottle glass all over the yard and embedded into the soil, along with other debris.
24. Construction debri on other side of rear yard rock wall never cleaned up.
25. one-inch holes in rear porch cement.
26. wrong finish on door knob and hinges
27. dining room light fixture 18 inches off center
28. closing delayed by one week due to incorrect property line on survey.
29. not told by sales rep that property next door constructed after mine allowed to extend 30 feet back further than mine and thus block my view of northwest.

I Do not recommend bills texas plumbing because of their business practices. I had a team come out to my house to fix my bath tub faucet only to learn that they were going to charge me $268.00 for a new faucet. When I told them I was going to buy one myself at a much cheaper price they said ok and left after being here for ten min. My Wife and I then went to Lowes and found a nice faucet for $143.00. Thinking that the cost of the repairs would be minimal I was still charged $245.91 for a job that took 45 min (They charge $75.00 an hour). They charged me $75.00 for the prior days 10 min visit to tell me its broke, Well Duh. then another $53.96 for materials which consisted of 4 (quantity)1/2 inch copper male adapters. I don't know about you but I could have bought enough copper pipe from lowes to do my entire house for $53.96. DO NOT USE Bills Texas Plumbing and spread the word. BAD BUSINESS

The builder doesn't deserve a one star rating. My home is a year old and I have had the following problems: crack in the foundation, broken appliances, cabinets falling off the walls, broken drawers, leaks in the roof, shingles coming off the roof, motor broken from jet tub, should I go on? The builder has wiped his hands of this home. He ripped me off. A year later his warehouse burned to the ground. What comes around goes around. Don't do business with this builder, you will regret it.
