Good Value & Solid Construction.
My daughter in-law recently purchased an Allen Edwin Home & I was skeptical when she first told me the news. She told me her mortgage payment was going to be similar to what she was paying for rent. I found this hard to believe for a new home & thought something must be up. I had worked on a framing crew years ago & I know a good deal about construction so I wanted to take a look for myself. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised when she took me out to the neighborhood. The gentleman at the model was very friendly & said that he got a lot of "skeptical fathers" looking out for their kids. He right away offered to show me a home under construction so I could see the "nuts & bolts". I was impressed by the quality of materials they used. He explained to me that some of the ways they are able to keep costs down was because they were getting great deals on the land & that they buy material in large volume. Makes sense. + I won't have to spend my retirement working on a fixer-uper!
