The place is definitely a good option if you want your skin to be cleaned in European traditional way (manually).
The most evident "+" is price. The service is affordable and gives a good quality facial for this price.
But the big "-" is that you are being offered to purchase different products (mostly unknown French Sothys brand)... Secondly, it surprised me that you are expected to visit estetician really often - about 1 time a month. Honestly, I don't feel an urge to do this so often... It seems like it's just their strategy to earn extra $.
All these cleanings are a great trauma to the skin, especially prone to acne. I had quite a lot of breakouts on my skin and I can't say that several visits to this place really helped me... It's all only temporary relief and it's all on the facade of the face, not internal problems you might have.

Blo Monkey Chunks Salon: A STUDY IN ARROGANCE.

If you can get pass the loud music, cramp space, not having any one consistently answering their phone that knows when they are open and when they are not, then you may just get a good hair cut. But that’s only if you can tolerate staff arrogance, entitlement and not really caring about doing good work and appreciating your business.

I visited Blo several times last year and last time I walked out with out getting a hair cut. The person scheduled to cut my hair made me wait 20 minutes because he was too busy chit chatting with his last costumer. Not once I was approached by him nor the “receptionist” to let me know that they were running behind. That’s how much they appreciate your time. He did called an apologized by saying that his costumer would not let him go but then that’s another issue.

I decided to give Blo a 2nd chance after a year. I called and made an appt for 2 O’clock this past Tuesday. I didn’t received a reminder call so I called and left a message confirming that in fact this appt was on . No one called me back. When I arrived on Tuesday I was told that the person scheduled to cut my hair was on vacation and my appt was on Thursday at 2:00 PM not Tuesday. When I asked why no one had called me back I was told that she wasn’t the receptionist yet she offered me an appt for 3 o’clock the same day with someone else which I didn’t cared to take. I walked around the neighborhood and spoke with different salons with in 3 to 4 blocks from Blo. Hair cut prices ranged from $15 at the cosmetology school to $100 at oxenrose. I must say that the people at the cosmetology school were super friendly and welcoming. I would had gotten my hair cut there but I needed to be seen right away. So I got my haircut at Oxenrose (please read their reviews).

Yesterday I received a phone call from Blo confirming my appt for today at 1:00 PM (I guess I not even had gotten the 2 O’clock time right). I left a message advising them how dissatisfied I was and that I had already gotten my hair cut some place else. To what a received another message saying that they are closed Tuesdays so there could had never been an appt made for that day. The dude cutting hair there on Tuesday must had been a ghost.

Blo Blows! I’m not wasting my time or cash on them. If you are a non-white gay person or just an outright person of color you are better off taking your business someplace else. That’s right we have choices.

This is one of the oldest athletic clubs in the United States. The downtown City Club is a one block square eight story building that offers two pools, squash and handball courts, a running track, and several gymnasiums and fitness centers as well as a pro shop, bar, and dining and meeting facilities. There are also 14 rooms serving as accommodations for members and their guests to stay overnight.

The lakeside club is located on the golf course and offers tennis as well as a pool and full exercise facilities, a bar, and an extensive dining room.

Never got my nails done here, but get my brazilian. She is great. Very fast, detailed and efficient, and CLEAN! She uses new wax for each person...thank god! Although brazilians arent always fun, she makes it less painful with conversation and quickness. Done in 20 minutes. Def worth it!

I like the space. The instructor is different than I have ever had, a different style yoga...i would compare it more to yoga/pilates. I did not do one downward facing dog. The instructor gives everyone attention and adjusts well, and cracks some jokes. they have a special for newbies, 30 dollars for 30 days unlimited. def worth trying!

My favorite yoga instructor is Darren Main. I love his hatha flow classes on monday and wednesday nights. You walk out of there feeling so much weight lifted from you. The class is heated, but not bikrim. You do sweat like a mo fo though. Its a great studio, but does get packed so it would be best to sign up online to reserve your spot!

"I'm never going to be able to find the perfect esthetician in this city".....oh yes, that use to be what I would say. Now its more along the lines of "FINALLY!" with big smiles! Moving to SF from Boston, I almost cried the last day leaving my esthetician of 7 years....I didn't know what I was going to do. Eight months later of looking and looking I found someone just as wonderful.....thank you Veronica! Her space is very clean and cozy. Her expertise is a ten! I am just so happy I have found her! If you are looking for that perfect brow wax, try Veronica, you won't go anywhere else!

Making the trip from my house to Yoga Tree Staynan isn't always fun(although so worth it for Darren Main's classes)....and considering time is valuable with a busy work schedule, an hour and a half classes do not work with my schedule on a daily basis. Therefore, when discovering yogakula (bendsf)...a couple blocks from my home... I was very thrilled!

Not only is the studio adorable and comforting, Heather has been an amazing instructor! Her genuine and passionate personality speak through teachings. I never feel bored, due to the variety of instruction in her classes. Even after a tough day, I leave her class feeling renewed! That is pure motivation to go back again and again.

I have also taken classes with David, Mather, and Aleastae.....all who are uniquely fantastic! I have nothing but high hopes for Bend SF! :)

A relatively small beauty product shop located close to the Powell BART station. They carry curling irons, nail polish, some make-up, and hair products (especially Bed Head). I came here looking for my favorite Bed Head mousse wax, which I found.
