I used to like shopping here until recently. About 3 months ago I bought some shoes etc. at Loehmann's, and as I was paying for my merchandise the lady asks me if I want to give her my email address so I can get deals sent to me etc. I like shopping here because they have a variety of good quality brands, so I thought why not. Then she told me to pick from a list of FREE magazines that they would send to me. I asked her: "For FREE" just to make sure, and she said yes. All I gave her was my name and email address and I paid with my debit card. I took my stuff and left. I haven't thought about this or the magazines they promised, as they never came, since that day.
Months later.....two days ago to be more precise, I discover that exactly $38 has been taken out of my account for a magazine! I never subscribed, I have never received the magazine and now I am paying for this nonsense?? Are you kidding me???? And this is only 1 out of 4 magazines that they said would be free. So basically they are using my credit card information from when I made a purchase there to pay for magazines they said would be FREE. Not only that, but they make sure to wait a long time so people won't notice that they are paying for something they never signed up for! WOW...Really?????....is this what is has come down to these days??? This is just unacceptable! I don't know how companies get away with some of the BS they pull! Seriously, misleading and straight up lying to customers is no way of conducting business. I am shocked!!!!
So word of advice: If you shop at Loehmann's make sure you NEVER give out any of your information if you are paying wit your card!!!
