I agree with the earlier comment about the "elitist attitude" exhibited by the owner. They special ordered a part for me twice. It came in wrong both times. Since I was required to pay in full in advance, it was mine. The part broke within 3 laps around the back yard. The owner said the company does not stand behind replacement parts and initially refused to give me a refund. Only after a customer service lecture from me did he return my $5 and change. Maybe they don't need repeat business.

***WAY OVER PRICED***
Our gas ignitor went on our stove. We called County Wide Appliance to come replace who by the way won't give a quote over the phone for such a common problem. So of course when they get here they give you the cost - $175!!! So you're stuck b/c they are already here and charging you a trip fee. The part itself which I looked up cost $60, the guy left the box here so I was able to search. The kicker is he could have taken longer than 5 minutes to do the job and maybe we wouldn't have felt so terrible about writing out that check. I kid you not, he was his for 5 minutes, clearly I'm in the wrong line of work!

I have been doing business with brighton mower since 1970 when they were located on richs dugway. they are very business like and also very busy which indicates to me that they are doing well. I get my parts on time and their service is great.I read the other 2 reviews and it seems that these people have a chip on their shoulder or an axe to grind. this mower shop has been in business since the 1950s while many other mower shops have closed. that should tell you in itself it is a great business. Thousands of customers and 2 bad reviews. they are great.

Unfortunately, I have not had good luck here. I have not had quite the terrible experiences of the prior reviewer, but I have had some issues with Brighton Lawnmower's quality of service and attitude. Enough said, in my opinion.

I have had repeated terrible experiences with this place and I will never return.
Poor attitude, unreliable due dates, overcharging, charging for service that wasn't actually done, etc. You can name it all and these guys seem to do it wrong. It is too bad, because it is a great location and a nice building.

They always have an elitist attitude at this place.

It once took them 45 minutes to find my mower when it was completed.

All mowers in for service (and completed ones) are stored outside to get rained on, snowed on, etc. Oh yeah, every time I leave their shop nowadays, the gas tank on my mower is just about drained, too. Nice!

This spring, after taking my nearly new Toro mower in for regular maintenance for $55, I had the self propel function quit 2 weeks later. These guys then charged me another $58 and then it still didn't work when I got it home. Next they wanted to charge me for a drive belt that they should have replaced the first time for the $58.
Oh yeah, and it took another week to figure this out, too.

You've been warned.

Can I select zero stars? Did absolutely nothing. Will not respond to letters or phone calls. Continue to send bills for work they did not perform with late fees as well. Had to hire someone else to do the job and I'm considering small claims court to fight the current bills and attempt to get back the money I paid them.

Let me be blunt... DO NOT USE THEM!

I wish I had read the prior review before hiring them to do work on our property. They were unprofessional, full of double-speak and re-negging on prior commitments. Their equipment failed the first 2 times they were scheduled to do the job on an outbuilding, and then came out at a time they were not scheduled to be there, and could not be supervised by us, something we had insisted on all along. They also were about to do a completely unauthorized spraying for other pests on our home (windows open, pets inside), which we were able to stop just in the nick of time. Initial complaints were received by a middle-level manager, who promised to get back to us, but now the company will not return phone calls or email. They should be brought up on charges of incompetency and run out of business.

So far I am not at all impressed with them. The staff at the Monroe Ave location is very friendly. I'm on a tight schedule and was told they would work with me. What one sales person told me on the phone contradicted what my sales person told me in person. Then I was told they would call me the same day right after the room was measured. That didn't happen! Never got a phone call so now I have decided to look elsewhere.

Worst customer service company I have dealt with in years.
Didnt treat all areas, and have a customer service written commitment that they will retreat areas between treatments if I am not happy, but good luck trying to get them back out. The person in "charge" was very difficult, unprofessional and made comments that were way out of line with the customer, belligerent, confrontational and much more! Telling me one thing one minute, and going back on what she said. They will take your money and run. I am currently filing numerous complaints against them with various state and local tv stations as I write today. Do not do business with them!
