I brought my new pup from Lollypop Farm, there for her shots. When we got home she had a reaction to one of them "seizure". I rushed back, and they said w/o seeing anything they could not determine if it was a seizure or not but it sounded like one. Here is the best part.... knowing this might be the case, they then proceed to medicate her each visit there after w/ acepromazine!!! Great!!!! Thanks alot, my dog has no had seizures for the past 8yrs!!!!
NEVER go there, I am even upset that the Vet Specialist are affiliated w/ them!!! Who can we trust????

I was a client there for MANY years, and brought several pets there.
They offer no "mulit pet" discount, they charge for pedicures, no couresty even though you spend a fortune there yearly. The front office staff is EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional. Here's the best one, when I left the practice they charged me $44.00 for all of my pets records!!!! .25 cents per. page for 7yrs. worth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had taken our beloved Greta to this kennel for years. It was easy to get into at the beginning but now we have to plan way in advance. The word has spread - great for the business - not for the boarder unless you plan way in advance. HA HA! Locust Grove is the ONLY kennel we would consider using. It is kept very clean. Suzy and the rest of the staff have always been so wonderful, treating our Greta as their own. From the friendly welcome upon arrival to the report card when leaving,(which our children became to excitedly expect) it is a great experience. In fact, when getting Greta ready to go to the kennel, we would say, " you ready to go see Suzy" and we were sure she knew what that meant. Greta always was happy to visit the kennel and always exhausted when coming home again. Now that we have a new baby, Heidi, we will take her to LGK as well. Thanks for taking such great care of our pets.

They will claim your indoor pet has fleas and show you a brush w/ "droppings" to get an extra 25 bucks out of your for a flea bath. It's a great place if you can condone that sort of fraudulent behavior, hopefully they only lie and cheat on that one issue.

Both my dogs go to Dr. Zimber at Midtown , and I can't say enough good things about him. He is kind and patient with our animals, even my older dog, who can be a huge pain when at the vets. He remembered our puppy by name when he met us outside the hospital, and he'd only met her once. What a lovely man.

Al's Pet Shop is a real store in time warp! This includes the wonderful owners Gloria and Gary.
They are kind, knowledgeable, and animal lovers. You can see their passion for what they do
when they talk about their puppies or your own pets. They help you train your animals with no
reservation.
I bought my puppy West Highland White Terrier from them and you would think I adopted one of their children. The love is wonderful. They even potty train their puppies before you even take they home.
They show you what you need along with how to use it. After I bought my puppy, they called me to make sure she was eating and adjusting to my home ok. I had a few questions about training and they spent almost 30 minutes on the phone with me.
They have the healthiest fish and of course the supplies and knowledge on how to use them and help me with any problems - you see I went in for some fish supplies and saw the little Westy and fell totally in love with her.
If you haven't been in to see the Pet Shop, you are missing one of the best things we are fortunate to have in Rochester. Please support them so we don't loose them.
They have been in business for 58 Years and the same family - unbelievable.

Pet Pride of New York is a non-profit organization and as such we rely on the generosity of local Veterinary Hospitals to keep our Spay/Neuter Program operating. Over the years the Fairport Animal Hospital has provided our clients with the highest standard of veterinary care. We have found them to be professional and caring at all staff levels. It is our pleasure to be associated with such a fine animal health care establishment. Norma Halbleib, Assistant Shelter Manager Pet Pride of New York

In response to Heba:

When Fairport Animal Hospital opened in 1980, one of core beliefs is to do our part in limiting the number of unwanted pets. We were also aware of the need to help some families who had limited incomes and needed help paying for spays or neuters. We arranged to work with some of the humane organizations in the Rochester area and provide a limited number of these procedures at no cost to the owner. Heba visited our hospital for this reason. Also treating the ears was above and beyond our agreement with this humane group and would have represented an additional charge to Heba.

It is our policy to do a physical exam before the surgery. Because of work schedules and other family commitments in the morning, it can be very difficult for families to bring a pet in the morning. We offer to admit patients the night before surgery at no additional cost to the family. Following spays or dog neuters we always keep patients until the day after the surgery. This is done to check for postoperative infections or other problems that might affect the recovery. Heba’s cat stayed with us the night before and the night of the surgery. There was no extra hospital time.

On the day of a pet’s discharge we provide a free bath where ever possible. Heba’s cat like a small number of our patients became very upset when away from home, with strangers working with them and doing medical procedures. This makes it unsafe for the pet to have a bath. Unfortunately, the person trying to answer Heba’s concerns was unaware of this. She was trying to gather information to help her. We normally would have suggested to bring her back in to the hospital to bath her.

We pride ourselves with having a very courteous and helpful group of technicians, veterinary assistants and veterinarians. WE have many testimonials to this. There is no reason for Heba to fear visiting this hospital. Every encounter that I witnessed with her was friendly, courteous, and helpful. I believe that there was a miscommunication that could have been handled in a better way
