I've played both East & West courses. They are grand old walking courses, for those fit enough to handle the hills. Don't be fooled by thinking you need to play the East for a tough round. The East is probably more terrain challenging, but the The West is also difficult with it's challenging greens. Private club. Membership very reasonable compared to national courses of this caliber, but you need to know someone to become a member. Occasionally, they allow corporate tournaments on Monday's and that's your best bet to get in.
What's really nice compared to some other private clubs I've played? It's not like some private clubs that are more like resort extensions. You don't need to walk around with a wad of cash to tip everyone as you go along. The service is superb. The food is exceptional and reasonable. (Peanut butter & jelly sandwiches for kids by the pool are maybe $2).
