NELLIS CAB CO. with out a doubt the worst cab company ever. we were in town for a medical conference and every time we had to get a cab it happened to be a nellis cab. the drivers were horrible, rude, and just plain a_ _ holes. we were also dressed to the nines and going to see a play across the way at another hotel, but we did not want to get sweaty by walking there, so we hailed a cab (nellis) #724 to take us over. as soon as we told him where we were going he started driving like a mad man, then when we were getting ready to pay for the ride, he cused us out and told us to get the f_ _K out of his cab and that we were a waste of his F_ _king time. too bad for him because we had planned on tipping him well for taking us just a short trip, but instead, he and his cab company will lose our corporations business when ever we are in town.

Right now this is one of the best rates going on the strip. The rooms on the Monaco and North tower have all been re-furbished, with flat screens, new bedding, all new paintings and modern walls and bathrooms. For $30-$50 you can book a room and while the location is on the poorer end of the strip, I would put this up with any place as far as value. As far as the casino, it's older and has a classic feel, but not as big a beater as I expected by any means, and the pool while small is surrounded by guest rooms and makes you forget you are on the strip for a minute.

It's got some character but the rooms are certainly no-frills. Bare beige walls, the beds do have new sheets/comforters, however the headboard and furniture are extremely basic. It also is quite busy with traffic around this hotel, and once inside it is somewhat confusing to get around to the different hotel towers. I would say not a bad bet mid week when you can get $50 nights. Taking a ride to the top of the tower for the revolving restaurant/360 degree views of the strip is a nice visit though.

Welcome to Savmor or Save LESS is more like it. I have no problem with what I paid for the actual rental itself. What truly sucks is their policy of charging you 7.95 if you don't bring your gas receipt back.

When I burn a half a tank of fuel and replace it at the corner right by the rental car return, I don't expect to be charged 8 bucks for doing what I am supposed to do. The girl at the counter didn't tell me to bring the receipt back....nor should I have to....the car is either full of fuel or it isn't right?

So, I go to Vegas on business at least once a month. That means that about 12 times a year I will be speaking to everyone in line at Savmor and explaining to them how the company tries to profit (read screw in this case) of people who don't know or forget to get their receipt even though they filled the tank.

I hope it was worth the 8 bucks you stole from me. Not only did you lose a customer....you will lose more at the counter and there's nothing you can do about it.

See you there.

P.S. They should train their employees not to laugh at people who just got hosed.

I rented a Aveo from Savmor rent a car in Vegas 7-24 to 7-26 09. I was totaly disastified, from the bait and switch tactic to renting me a piece of junk. The car needed a tune-up, the rear speakers didn't work but most of all a unsafe vehicle. The drivers side rear tire was worn below the tread line, i had to inflate it a few times during my ride to grand canyon. Upon, dropping the vehicle off, I explained my concerns to the customer service rep at the Tropicana and she did not offer any resolution or showed remorse. I will never rent from them again.

I didn't like anything about this Hotel.

We arrived at the Hotel lobby late on a Friday night, at around 1.30 am. At that time you would expect no line to check in...Wrong!!! We waited for around 30 minutes.

Once we have our keys we walk to the room over a nasty, dirty and ugly carpet. There were few people in the Casino at that time. I've been in Vegas before and I haven't seen a Casino that empty. That was a red flag.

Because we arrived that late we wanted to get take some drinks to the room to drink while showering and trying to look like normal people. It wasn't hard to find a place to buy a Margarita, because there was only one business open and it happened to be in our way to the room. I don't remember the name of the "bar", I just remember that the Margarita Pitcher was bad but cheap (half price deal). We were the only clients there.

There were no signs to the tower where our room was, but thanks to my friend's orientation skills we got there pretty easily.

The room, it was like being in a 60's movies, everything was old and ugly. The TV screen was of the size of an iPhone, lamps switches happened to be damaged so it wasn't easy to turn the lights on, and when we did it, we turned the off again and it felt much better. The only thing that worked well was the AC, thanks god because it was July in Vegas.

So we went out. There is no bar or Disco or anything like this in this hotel. We new that before and we planned to go to other casinos.

The pool...you have to go out the Casino, cross a street, and there, right there is the pool, yes between that parking lot and the other parking lot. Awful!!

Said that. I have to say that this is a Casino where families go, there are many attractions and amenities for kids. But if I ever have a family I would never bring it to this hotel.

I am giving it 2 starts because we had a free check out extension. I wonder if anybody would pay to stay there longer...

Sahara Hotel & Casino

The hotel is okay....I mean you you get what you pay for right?

The cafe'.....by far the worst! I was there with my boyfriend the table they asked us to sit at was unleveled. So we decided to move from table. We were waiting to get helped for 15min. Then this lady said no one would be able to assist us because no waitress was assigned to that table. So it was we either move to another table and get helped or we leave....omg! I have never heard of this!

The casino.... is great!

The pool....had fun!

First, the guy at the counter tried to get me to upgrade from the car I'd reseved on-line for $15 a day for 8 days. I know from reviewing on-line, the difference wasn't even close to that. He said it would pay off in better gas mileage. I didn't pay $120 in gas for my whole trip.

But the real crap came when I had a problem. We got the road-side assistance and declined their special collision protection. We drove to San Diego and got a flat tire. When I called their RSA number, I was told that I would have to change the tire myself, go somewhere to get it fixed, pay for it, and they would reimburse me when I got back. After doing all that, Firestone couldn't fix it because there was a staple close to the crown. The tire had to be replaced. The manager at Firestone assured me this would be no problem, he had done the same with numerous other rent-a-car companies. But Payless refused to pay for the new tire, claiming it was my responsibility. They said if I had payed for the collision policy it would have been covered, but since I didn't and I had collided with a staple, I had to pay. The guy at Firestone was stunned. He does a lot of work for rental car companies and he assured me no other company would have stiffed me like this.

When I brought the car back to Las Vegas and complained, I was just treated rudely and dismissed. I even had to fill out an accident report. They did refund the cost of the RSA which amounted to about half the cost of the tire. Needless to say, I'm telling everyone I know to stay away from this company.

This has to be one of the worst experiences i have ever had. First my cab ride was awful, and when i called to make a formal complaint, i was treated very badly by one of their managers, Jesse Lira, if you ever have to call to make a complaint i implore you to speak to anyone else, but this man. I couldn't belive the sarcastim and unwillingness to help me, i almost felt like i was the one who was the problem, and not the driver. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
