Paul Ventresca has no values, no idea what it takes to be a valued builder, and no idea what it is to be responsible! He has only ruined our dreams of what our first home would be. He lives up to absolutely NO standards, and he will absolutely NOT answer a single phone call. I would not trust him with a penny, not to mention a home! He hired crack dealers to work in our home, and over the next few months, we found several items missing. We bought our house, and within six months we had major damage occur due to substandard contracting. His workmanship is so pathetic, that three floors of our home was damaged due to a flood from the roof. Do you think that after 8 months the damage is fixed?! No! Do you think that he has EVER called us ONCE in regards to this damage?! NO!!!! Even though the house has a warranty on it, he still has NEVER called us, even ONCE! This excuse for a man, this excuse for a business, this entire fraudulent establishment is shaming the world of construction and business. SHAME ON YOU, PAUL VENTRESCA! SHAME ON YOU, RGV BUILDERS!

I've never been treated so bad and we didn't even get to the lease signing part. They let us look at an apt and when we were about to give them the money they called us to let us know that it was no longer available (within 20 minutes of telling her that we had the money), however they had another apt (for a higher rent, of course) that was available. We saw the other apt and gave them the down payment. We were told we would have an answer by a certain date, but 3 days after they were telling us they were too backed up to check my credit and were telling us that we might have to pay more money to get the apt despite that I met the most imp requirement.

Still kept giving us the run around and when we asked for the money back they responded, "you need to wait to see if you get denied to see "IF" you get your security deposit back" What is that? After they treated us like trash they finally gave us our check back!! I thank God we got out of it before signing a lease. They should take some classes on proper customer service and def. of proper communication!

I lived at 2031 South Street, Apt 117 for about four months until it became infested with cancerous black mold. I begged the management to do something about it, they never even came. It was so bad, green spots of mold developled on my new jute rug. They paid me for that when I moved. Eventually I just became too scared to live there, I mean their were literally mushrooms growing out of the wall and mold growing on top of the saturated rug on the lower level which was too damp to walk on. I took pictures of it all an forwarded to the building manager, She allowed me to get out of the lease. However, as the movers were moving my stuff out of my apartment, I discovered that my newly purchased $2,147 couch was destroyed by mold. I tried to wipe it off with fabric cleaner but all the fabric cleaner disinigrated . I thought since they had the decency to pay for the rug, they would agree to pay for the destruction of the couch but they did not, they told me today they weren't going to pay for it.

Bottom line: the worst rental experience I've ever had. I absolutely cannot wait until my lease is over so I can move out. The only good thing about their apartments is the location. For starters, I moved in and my keys didn't even work. I was told by the property manager that she checked everything (faucets, lights, etc.) and that everything was working great. After a long day of moving I go to take a shower, and my tub fills up with water and won't drain, and therefore I couldn't shower or bathe for 2 days because that's how long it took for them to fix it. In order to fix it they had to put a hole in the wall right next to my front door which wasn't fixed for at least 2 months. What a great way to welcome guests to your new "home". Also, whoever painted the walls before I moved in also decided to apparently paint the carpet as well, as there are white paint splatters on the carpet everywhere near the walls. I have never had a maintenance issue resolved within less than 2 days, and have had to call numerous times, and then go to the front desk and tell them again to get anything resolved. I understand that certain maintenance issues take importance over others, but when my toilet is clogged and has overflowed everywhere, I consider that important. Also, I don't pay a ridiculous amount of money each month to not have a working toilet for days, and to tell my guests that they can't use my bathroom when they come over. Also, let's not mention when the electric went off for over 10 hours. The hallways and stairwells were pitch black, and I was told to use my cell phone to see and to basically get over it. I had to work on something on my laptop, so I went to another one of their apartment buildings to work on my assignment. People from my apartment were calling the front desk there to see when the electric would be back on, and the person at the front desk was openly bitching about tenants and ignoring phone calls, and finally put the phone on night service so that he could ignore everyone altogether. Let's not mention the $200 worth of groceries I bought that spoiled. The money I pay is definitely not equivalent to the rental experience I've had, and I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Beware of Paul Ventresca of RGV and his escapades as being a "builder" and a "businessman." He may deal with properties that superficially appear decent; however, his portrayal of these properties and their value is laughable. He promises a lot and delivers/finishes nothing. When repairs are needed, he attempts to out-talk you and talk around the issues at hand. Not only is he exceptionally unprofessional, but so are the sub-contractors that he hires. After having Mr. Ventresca and his crew of ill-mannered slop-artists enter your home, you should plan to spend hours inspecting your property for "missing" valuables, scratches, holes, "patch-up jobs," and other damages. Dealing with this company was beyond horrible. That's if you were even lucky enough to get through to his cell phone, since his office phone only goes right to voicemail. If you want to work with a respectable company and have any expectations, go elsewhere. If you want a beautiful home that you feel safe in, go elsewhere.

Philadelphia Management has properties in great locations of the city - Rittenhouse, Washington Square, etc. But all of them are overpriced and hardly worth it.
Our fridge broke within three months of moving in. At first they sent a quasi-repair man who told us the fridge was fine and lectured us to not put too much food in the fridge (it iss for food is it not?!). Then when we called again to say that yes all of our food was going bad, they bought the cheapest, crappiest, tiniest fridge they could find (without it actually being a mini fridge).
Our other problem with this company has been their total lack of respect for tenants. One Saturday morning (6:30 AM) they sent repair men to drill and rip up concrete at one of their buildings on the street - for no apparent reason. Another morning they sent a man to rip out the drainage pipe on the side of our building - again for no apparent reason. If they took enough time fixing up the insides of their buildings as they do the outside then their places could be reasonable!
Also, as soon as we gave them our 3 month notice that we were moving out they have proceeded to bring people over to our apartment 1 to 2 times a week - and guess what - no one wants a place with a mini fridge!! Also, this is despite the fact that they let the two apartments underneath ours go empty for 8+ months, yet feel the need to annoy us with constant visits.
If at all possible don't rent from PMC. I'm sure there is worse in this city, and their apartments are in nice areas, but they really are terrible.

Simply put, they are the absolute WORST. Everyone who works for this company must be a miserable human being, considering the total lack of respect they spit out. You manage apartments; get over yourselves! Renters beware! There is no need to sell your soul just to rent an apartment. You will be treated like garbage by the staff. Your place will be filthy and infested no matter how much you clean. Your issues will not be resolved and you will get nothing but bad attitude about them. You will be made to feel uncomfortable and disgusted in your living space. IT IS NOT WORTH IT!
