I was absolutely amazed at the incredible number of antique and period lighting, chandeliers and sconces and lamps! From original gas to American, English and French Art Deco! This is the greatest for adding lighting as artwork! There also is an incredibly eclectic number of pieces that you would have thought they were from a movie set and probably have been there, they even rent everything for movies and photo shoots to chandeliers for wedding tents! If ever you have a couple of hours to see everything, then this is the place to go, or come back for another feast for another day and something new to see!
The one drawback is that there are at least three levels to look at, the ceiling, the walls, the floors and then go back the same way you came so your can try to see the things you missed, and of course, more time!
The people that work there are somewhat eccentric too, but I guess that goes with the territory. You need to see this selection to see how it must rub off on the people that work there and the ones that visit time and again.

20,000 square feet of great antique lighting, modern and antique art along with furniture from many periods, thousands of antique books and even designer shoes! They have some of everything here!

Hi, If you are planning to be in Miami this weekend (or during the upcoming Art Basel) the Wynwood Art District Second Saturday gallery walk looks very interesting. Here is a complete listing of openings and exhibits for Saturday October 13th @

This place is really gorgeous, lots of selection and a very civilized atmosphere. This is not a bargain-hunters antique shop, but rather upscale and sophisticated in a friendly sort of way. If you can afford to pay a little to a lot more for special stuff, go to Bonin Ashley. While you're in the neighborhood, stop by Odys a few doors away. It's nice too, and a little more affordable. Happy shopping!

Warehouse-type antiques dealer. Good selection, and ask because there's always more in back waiting to go on the floor. Check condition carefully and don't be afraid to make an offer if you see something you like, the prices are more like guidelines. The owner and staff are very friendly, but pretty much always busy. be patient, you'll probably find something really good for a happy price.

Alhambra Antiques has a beautiful store and nice upscale antiques, not for bargain hunters. They won't budge on the prices, which are seriously marked up, and the place is just generally not a welcoming as a lot of the antiques galleries and stores in miami. This is not my favorite place to indulge my passion for unique and beautiful things. If you hit the lottery, go. You might find something you like.
