I hired CEE-RON to do a full house renovation after dealing with the VP of Sales who put together a solid esimate. CEE-RON had a price in the middle of other all estimates and a good time line to finish the job.
That was the last good experience I had with CEE-RON. CEE-RON failed to keep on a schedule and when they fell behind they failed to provide a new schedule. I immediately got hit with multiple change orders even though the property was a shell when they started and could see everything that needed to be done. I signed the change orders (my mistake) up to 10% (the amount of contingency I had in place) but then when they tried to issue change order to fix their plumbing mistakes and other items they didn't estimate well (to the tune of another 10%) I stopped and thought twice.
In addition, they front loaded the draw schedule and drew more than they should have from the bank (again, I didn't realize it was front loaded until I spoke with another contractor). When they refused to complete work for which they were paid and would not continue with work unless I signed the additional change orders, they did no more work.
After send dissatisfaction letters, I ended up firing them and taking them to court. Realistically due to work paid for and not complete and work which was of such poor quality that I had to have another contractor redo it, they owe me about $40,000.
I took them to court over this and found out that this is not the only lawsuit that they are defending and their own witness (VP of sales) under oath acknowledged that there are at least 2 other jobs like mine where CEE-RON got kicked off the job.
