You should avoid doing business with H street self storage at all costs. Here are three major reasons why:
1. We regularly had food items spilled in the hallways seeping into our storage and damaging our items. When we approached management they told us that we should take out insurance for our items and that they were not responsible for anything spilled in the hallway. When we voiced a concern that there were food stuffs spilled in the hallway and this was causing pests they again refused to do anything to maintain the cleanliness of the property. Do you want soda leaking into your storage unit and mice, insects etc following?
2. We believe there were people inhabiting the storage units. Every time we were at our unit we smelled food being cooked, heard appliances running, saw lights. When the people didn't realize we were in our unit we even saw someone coming and going. Again, when approached management refused to follow up.
3. When we moved to Australia there were issues with our direct billing due to change of address. We provided new credit card details and contact details and received written notice that our records would be modified. We noticed after some time that the new account wasn't being billed and contacted management. There response was that they had auctioned off our belongings because payment had not been received. Basically they failed to update the billing details, never contacted us, and sold all of our belongings.
Do not do business with this facility. You will seriously regret it.
