The previous negative rating was obviously posted by someone who was on the opposite side of a case with Val, and he/she lost! Val did an incredible job representing me through my divorce; she was on top of things, and totally knew what she was doing. I've seen a lot of friends' divorce attorneys screw things up, not filing things on time, not totally understanding what they were doing, and actually lieing to them about how things would work out and what they could expect. Val was not like that; she laid it on the line for me, not sugar-coating anything, yet was compassionate and effective. She's a tiger, but she plays by the rules. She was recommended to me by another attorney who had met her as an adversary in court several times, and he thought she was highly skilled!
