I was surprised to find a dentist that made me feel so comfortable on my first visit. There was no rush or over-selling of services. The staf was great and friendly. I have found my dentist!

I do not need LASIK but some of my friends and family have bad eyesight. After extensive research, my husband decided to have his LASIK performed by Dr. Carter. Since his surgery, he has referred three of his colleagues and two of our closest friends (from out of state) to Carter Eye Center. Fortunately, they all qualified for the surgery and were able to get it done with a short time frame. My husband, and everyone he has referred, only have good things to say about their experience and are still enjoying perfect vision years later.

What a difference Carter Eye Center made in my life. I am a reporter for a TV station and was having a hard time seeing the teleprompter, even with my contacts. The lights in the studio were especially difficult. But I went to Carter and he and his team made it all better. I'm seeing 20/20 and couldn't be happier.
Thank you Dr. Carter!

I absolutely LOVE Carter Eye Center! He and his staff were GREAT! I got my LASIK suregery done two years ago and couldn't be happier. May sound stupid, but they changed my life :) Best investment I've ever made! The only thing I didn't like was driving from Tyler to get it done, but it was worth the drive.

I would not recommend orthodontist Dr. Greg Greenberg of Dallas, Texas. During the course of my orthodontic treatment with him, I paid him for full for orthodontic treatment including the cost for a retainer and the cost to remove my braces.

Before my treatment was complete and while still in braces, Dr. Greenberg sent me a letter stating he did would no longer treat me. He refused to reimburse me for the retainer I had already paid him for and for the cost of having my braces removed, which I had also paid him for.

I had to pay another orthodontist $250 to remove my braces. I sent Dr. Greg Greenberg a letter along with the bill for $250 I had to pay the other orthodontist and requested reimbursement for a total of $560. This amount included the $250 and $310 that I found Dr. Greg Greenberg had charged me up-front for a retainer that I never received.

He responded with a letter stating he would not reimburse me. I am out $560 and have filed a complaint against him with the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners and the Better Business Bureau.

I would strongly urge anyone seeking orthodontic treatment to steer clear of this orthodontist. My advice would be to choose an orthodontist where you pay at the end of treatment for the retainer and the cost to remove the braces.

Dr. Carter is a rude nasty man. During your appointment he will constantly be snorting the snot in his nose and is rude to his staff. This was all fine with me, he is supposed to be the best, right? I could put up with him being a disgusting human being if he would correct my vision. NINE months after paying for my procedure in full ( I knew my insurance would not cover) I'm getting statements saying I owe $5500, and when I call to talk to someone in billing I get an answering machine! Steer clear of this place!!!

I'm not sure about the other reviews but I read a lot of positive reviews on other sites before I went and I thought Accent Optical was great!

Okay I don't know what experience the people who rated him a "1" had, but they probably weren't the best patients. Yes, he's not a carebear out to fill the world with sunshine and rainbows. He's there to make your vision better and, in my experience, he has done so very well.

Yes, you do get a piece of paper that talks about him included with the standard paperwork that all medical practitioners give you. I don't think you're actually expected to read it, but clearly he feels that he is very good at what he does. I would suggest slipping in a compliment- it'll loosen him up a bit.

As far as the actual service rendered, I would put the value well above other doctors I've been to. This is for one reason- the follow-up appointment(s). You will pay for your initial appointment and then be scheduled for a follow-up appointment a week later. The follow-up will be very quick just to test the contacts he gave you the first time and be sure that your vision is correct with them, as well as to check up on any medical issues. If he makes any changes to your prescription, he will give you a new pair of contacts and then schedule another follow-up in a week. Once your prescription is finally perfect, you will order contacts. ALL follow-up visits are free. You pay for the right prescription, you get the right prescription- even if your pesky eyes keep adjusting with new contacts (like mine did).

Will I return? Yes.

Horrible experience. I wish I had read the reviews before trying this Dr. Dr Pennick has horrible bedside manners, was incredibly rude and actually called me stupid. He got my prescription wrong and when I voiced my concern that I couldnt see they told me that I'd adjust and sent me home. I complained the next day and after the 'contact guy' rechecked he changed the prescription for BOTH eyes. I dont really want to go back for my final exam with the new contacts but I spent SOOO much money there and it's 'complimentary'. I do agree that the 'contact guy' - Mike is wonderful. I will not return after this visit and plan to ask for a prescription to fill these contacts elsewhere. I will not take no for an answer.
