First of all this company puts an ad in the paper asking for QUALIFIED electricians both apprentice level and Journeyman....my husband fits at the head of Journeyman status. We sent his resume and followed up a couple of days later via phone to see if he received it and to see if he may need references. My husband is currently working however, it is 3rd shift and we have 3 young children so we would very much like for him to get back to a company that he A) can work 1st shift B) respect and reward his ability etc...So when the phone call was made to see whether he received the resume...Marble mouth (who I assume is the owner of this Felton Electric) was fumbling over himself stating I specifically put NO Phone calls in the ad....No he did not! Plus he said I don't even know if I am going to hire anyone....uh what the frick are you putting an ad in the paper for? And also when my husband said well I'm currently employed and would be available when he may decide to hire (whatever)... he said I wouldn't hire you anyway... he said there are too many people without a job with major attitude. Well first of all are these unemployed people as good of an electrician as my husband? No offense to the unemployed but my husband has 22 years of experience and is the best money can hire and has recommendations from several other trades/electrical contractors that is why he is employed in this economy. Does this mean because my husband is good at what he does and is able to receive work that he should be penalized not to get a job that better suits our needs? So my opinion of Felton Electric, Inc. is Thumbs down....Maybe he only wants to hire people that are dumber than he is....that way he can remain the boss. Please anyone else that has had electrical work done by him....let me know that he is a hack...I would love it.
