I had some very bad tooth pain, and assumed I needed a root canal. Went to multiple dentists in Madison (3) --all of whom only wanted to pull my tooth, and sell me dental implants (which, at $3000+ per implant not covered by insurance, I could not afford). I called Door Creek, and Dr. Anderson got me in right away as a new patient. She determined that the painful tooth was indeed a good tooth for a root canal, and scheduled me for the procedure straight away. Even several hours after the novacaine wore off, my pain on this tooth is minimal. Dr. Anderson and the staff are very courteous, friendly and helpful, especially with insurance questions. And since their prices are MUCH more competitive than dentists in Madison, will get my other work here, too. I would also add that after my first visit, Dr. Anderson determined that I had a low grade infection that was contributing to my pain, and prescribed 10 days of antibiotics. That REALLY helped. NONE of the other dentists I visited thought to do anything except give me vicodin (which I hate to take). I was able to manage my pain with advil until the root canal. Have never been more impressed w/a visit to a dentist before!
