I had about 3 hours to kill before a meeting so I camped out in Cafe Istanbul.

It's a comfortable, Turkish place with really good apple tea, great staff, free wifi, comfortable seats, and mediocre food.

I got a pepperoni omelette which was edible, but the apple teas were fantastic.

During lunch hours, the place got pretty lively, but nobody hassled me for having a laptop out.

Nice folks working here.

Jane is a nice, hip spot with a good wine list, and a good selection of beer on draft. The food seems mostly Italian - I had risotto with a calamari appetizer, and both were very good.

I found the staff a bit over the top hipster and cooler looking than they were interested in waiting on our table, but hey, it's New York.

Shockingly expensive. Lindy's is in the tourist zone, and I get the feeling they don't really care about repeat visits.

I had a Reuben that cost - (wait for it) - $23. This must be the most expensive Reuben on the planet.

The fact that it was damn good and piled high with about a pound of beef doesn't really ease the pain.

The staff was rough and uninterested - they seemed more about stopping people from the outdoor seating section from dining and ditching than waiting tables.

So unless you are incredibly hungry, desperate to sit outside, and willing to drop $23 on a sandwich, you should probably skip it.

I have been a loyal customer since they opened. For great fresh pasta and pizza at gentle prices Pizza Shack delivers. Lower East Side is over hyped & priced as it is so enjoy the food. In uncertain financial times this is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a comforting meal. The Chicken Marsala is exceptional. For all the haters this place is still in buisness while thousands have since folded. So guess what? They have a simple but successful formula. You don't like it pay triple the $$$ elsewhere.....more room for me and those that appreciate a good basic pizzeria and restaurant!

I cannot thank you enough for helping me throw two of the most amazing bridal showers ever. Your food was just incredible. Both Amelia and Melissa had very special days, and when they are happy I am happy!!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart. It is so apparent you love what you do and I look forward to working with you again many times in the future!!!!

Went here for brunch and it was great. $23 for all you can drink mimosas and some of the best eggs benedict I've had at any brunch spot in the LES/NoLita/SoHo area. We got here at 12 and got a seat no problem but by 1pm the place was packed. This is my new go-to brunch joint.

The official bar for kids. This place is oh my delicious and makes me so happy with its neon-bright décor and gigantic candy and ice cream selection. The candy store is on the first floor, and the café, which has colorful tables and candy-decorated floors, is on the second floor. This place is a candy wonderland.

The quirky, old-fashined decor makes for a picturesque dining experience. A friend and I came here for milkshakes a few years ago. I don't remember what kind of milkshake I had, but it was oh so good. The old school candies and soda fountain were cool to look at and made me nostalgic for an era I did not live through and will never be a part of.

Unhealthily delicious and very sweet. The Original Glazed donuts are the best. A normal person will be happy with one, but a sweets lover with a real metabolism will be satisfied with no less than four.

A brightly-colored, upbeat wrap place located close to the Lincoln Center. The wraps here are inexpensive and astoundingly good. Even the vegetarian wraps taste great. I don’t remember exactly what I had when I was last here seven years ago, but it involved carrots and some kind of green vegetable, and was delicious.
