Great improvement! The new owner seems to care about his store and customers. Way to go! It's about time all those other fraudulent owners got the boot to improve the location by stopping the bad.

These guys take BBQ to a whole new level! They say about half of the pits and bbq trailers that they build go to the competition bbq teams to use. I believe it. After seeing their bbq pits in action on the videos in their website, I had to get one.

I bought one of their sniper bbq pits and it is the most amazing bbq machine i have ever used! They also build custom bbq pits by request and adapt their pits for the built in outdoor kitchen applications.

Houston's best kept secret when it comes to pizzerias. Belive me I know. We are know for our thousands of restaurants. Even out of the big 3 chains (Dominos, Papa Johns, Pizza Hut) its my personal favorite place to order pizza from. They are a chain pizza place in Houston with about 12 locations. Sicily's pizza cooks on a slab stone, in an old-fashioned hearth oven, and they use fresh Wisconsin cheese. Their pizza has very little grease compared to most places, and their pizzas taste alot more fresh and of better quality. Not to mention they have AWESOME chicken wings (10-100) in various delicious flavors. They also have delicious traditional pastas and big decent sized salads. You get your money's worth.

On the down side, you are best to call in your order or go to the restaurant personally to order, because if you order on-line you are taking a gamble (one time they didnt even show up after I ordered!). Still...delivery service aside, in my experience Sicily's has the best tasting affordable pizza in Houston.

For better or worse, this bar is one of the premier places for gay people (and their open-minded hetero friends) to congregate. There's a spacious patio, a pool table, five bars, and a FABULOUS drag queen - - the incomparable Kofi (she's probably a drag empress, or maybe even a drag diety at this point, and she and DJ Doug are the last remaining truly great things about JR's). A big drawback is that this place is SO popular on weekends that it's virtually impossible to walk/move around. The place is fairly clean and well-staffed, but the management is somewhat unresponsive to customer concerns (a personal observation - - you may certainly feel free to agree or disagree). Most definitely not my favorite watering hole in Houston.

I used to hate this bar! But over the course of time, it grew on me. It wasn't pretty and chic like the establishment that occupied the building when Pacific Street eventually went out of business, but it was a fun and down-to-earth place to drink, dance, and hang out with friends. I especially liked the sunken dance floor. I have never needed anyone's concurring opinion to validate my own, but all my friends and I agree: we wish Pacific Street had never closed. I wouldn't classify too many former establishments in the gay community as classics, but this place comes awefully close!

I have tried catering throughout the country, flying for the company I'm employed with, and can never wait to fly out of Houston again!

I used to eat here two or three times a week. Then I realized the wings were getting smaller and smaller. They really can't get much smaller than they are now. It's really ridiculous, because their "hot garlic" wing sauce actually tastes good. That is, when you can get it... I had the biggest fight with them to give it to me when I'd ordered it more than a hundred times before.

Their pizza (deep dish style) was average. The atmosphere in the restaurant was nice, and you serve your pizza on a fancy tray, but it tastes only average.

Delicious food!  From the pizza to the calzone, to the salads!!  Can't give them 5 stars tho,  cause when you order on-line you got about a 70% chance of them showing up.  I recommend calling in your order at this location.
