Plumbline charged us $800 to remove and replace a garbage disposal. Other companies quoted $325-345 for same disposal and same work. Charges were not itemized, but the guy was there about an hour. That's around $500/hour for labor! The plumber did not obtain our authorization for the work before doing the work. Was supposed to come out just to give us an estimate, but then asked my elderly father (who was just there to let him in the house) to sign the papers rather than contacting me or my husband. We never would have approved this outrageous charge. I contacted the company and they said that is their standard charge.
