This is where the Jim Jones type dictator was pastor. He tried to steal the church property from the members. It did not work out for pastor Larry Wakefield and the church now has a new name and new leadership. All the best to True Light (Northwood) and it`s members.

This congregation has temporarily relocated to 3202 Trulley St off McGowan and Tierwester. It's a spirit packed celebration of praise. You will definitely be challenged to give God your best you...the teaching and preaching by Pastor Atkins is very thought provoking and uplifting. The Sunday School and Bible Study Sessions are very enlightening. It's the place you want to be if you're serious about your spiritual development and growth.

You should go see them sunday...

thier sunday school is at 10 am thier morning worship service is at 11 am

Tallowood Baptist has been a loving church home for me since I moved to Houston thirty years ago. There are lots of ministry areas to become involved. Especially strong are the children,youth, and high school activities with loving & dedicated staff and adult leaders. Bible study groups and various choir groups give opportunities to be a part of mission trips. A recent
worship center complex has been built which is glorious ! Come worship the Lord in a body of believers.
