NOTE--The restaurant has moved two blocks west to the 1200 block of Carson St.

Someone else in the group was ordering, I lost track of how many dishes came out of the kitchen and I liked or loved almost all of it. I'm not a big fan of grape leaves so I wasn't surprised those weren't to my taste. The rice and lentil dishes were fantastic, I really liked the hummus and a lamb dish was excellent.

No liquor license so BYOB. We walked out of there stuffed for $20 a head including tip. My wife liked it too, we will definitely go back on our own.

The cupcakes at Vanilla are the best in the City! I cannot imagine what the other reviewer is talking about. My friends and I go there all of the time now that they are in Shadyside. I have gone to 2 weddings that served their cupcakes and they were so good...everyone ate them! They are moist and flavorful and so cute...

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! I was married on August 22, 2009 and used Vanilla Pastry Studio cupcakes as my wedding cake and I could not have been more disappointed. I paid more than $1000 dollars for 425 cupcakes that looked like they’d been decorated by a kindergarten class. At my consultation we decided on a variety of flavors and talked about bright orange and pink colors to match my wedding flower, Gerber daisies. April assured me that she knew ‘exactly’ the colors I was talking about and all of the sample cupcakes were delicious. I bragged to everyone that the cupcakes were going to be the ‘show piece’ of the wedding – boy did I look like an idiot! When I showed up at my reception I could not believe what I saw a lackluster display of pastel orange, pink and green cupcakes and the sugar gerber daisies that I paid a hefty charge to have on top were marginal at best in appearance. They put the orange flowers on the orange cupcakes and the pink flowers on the pink cupcakes – ZERO CREATIVITY. I asked for lemon cupcakes, raspberry white chocolate cupcakes and chocolate caramel cupcakes. Apparently, someone at VPS decided we got orange, raspberry with plain white cake, and chocolate with flavorless icing. Being inside VPS I can’t believe that someone there does not have at least an ounce of creativity, but apparently my wedding wasn’t worth expending the effort.

In addition, I purchased a 300 dollar birthday cake – they never asked me the inscription or the cake flavors. I had to call and volunteer that information. Is this SOP for a bakery???? I made some loose suggestions of what I wanted on the cake, they put the three things I ‘suggested’ and not one other thing. Again…some creativity?!?!

If you are planning a wedding take your business elsewhere. Do not be fooled by the appearance of the store or the consultation. You will be disappointed. I could have gotten better service and product from Giant Eagle. A wedding cake is a lot of money; don’t gamble with it at VPS.

this the the BEST PIZZA EVER!!! I have left the burg and really have not found anything that can compare to it. I know when I visit the burg again that I will go out of my way to go get me a pizza, homemade sausage and meatballs!!! They are all to die for.

Butter! Do you like butter? If so this is the place for you! The food was good, but they definitely like their butter at Pamela's! It's a breaskfast joint that can be good for a lunch as well. I asked my friend how she liked her pancakes and the only response I got was "butter!" I got a grilled cheese and I could taste the butter on that! Now, I am not complaining because a little butter taste good, but honestly I wondered is there was a relative of Paula Dean cooking back in their kitchen!

Fuel and Fuddle is a great restaurant/bar place. They were also very accommodating to the large group we have during the NCAA playoffs. The food was excellent and the prices were good. This is located new the University of Pittsburgh so does a lot of college business.

You don't go to the "O" for cleanliness, but you do go for the dogs and fries. The hot dogs with their natural casings are really excellent. The fries can't be beat- fresh cut and delicious. This is right down the block from the University of Pittsburgh so it gets a lot of college kids, but its a Pittsburgh establishment! Just don't mind the dirty tables, but enjoy the food.

I decided to try Primanti when I was at school and my Dad came with me. He had heard about their sandwiches and I had seen Primanti numerous times on the Food Network. I got a turkey and cheese with fries and slaw. I will say it was pretty good. I hardly noticed the fries in my sandwich, and didn't think any of it was odd. I don't think I would be eating a sandwich like this everyday, but it was tasty!
